The working group is moving to asynchronous communication with email updates and on-demand meetings.

1. Receive Updates by Email
- Join our mailing list to be notified of working group updates. Sign up here.
- Meeting summaries and important developments will be shared via email and on the forum.
2. Meetings on Demand
Rather than rigid biweekly meetings, we’ll schedule on-demand meetings when needed. Use this link to request a meeting for:
- Implementation support for signer standards or other identity-related work.
- Proposing a new standard for working group consideration.
- Discussing a specific topic within the working group.
If a particular standard or topic requires ongoing discussion, we’ll schedule recurring meetings as needed. All mailing list subscribers will be automatically invited (attendance is optional).
The Old Approach
The working group previously held biweekly meetings every other Tuesday. However, several challenges emerged:
- Declining participation in working group meetings over the past few months.
- Biweekly meetings may be too infrequent for working on new standards.
- Biweekly meetings may be too frequent for developers who just want to stay updated.
- Most developers are focused on implementation of the signer standards and need support.
Given these factors, a fixed biweekly meeting schedule no longer meets the community’s needs. To enhance engagement and efficiency, we’re introducing this new, more flexible approach to WG meetings.
