ICP daily rewards (maturity) low?

Hi everyone,

In the last while (2 weeks for sure, perhaps longer) my daily maturity rewards have been about half of what i am typically receiving - I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and what might be causing it?

For context, I have a Voting Power: 1’574.35, with around 720 ICP/maturity in my account. I am staking for 8 years and have never dissolved. I started staking 3ish years ago with a small amount of ICP and added periodically, thus my age bonus is currently 9%. I have ensured my neuron is active (178 days left) by confirming my following.

Last week, i was following one neuron labelled “28” which for all voting topics, i thought perhaps they could be missing votes causing me to miss rewards, so switched all the topics to the Dfinity Foundation, but still continue to have lower than anticipated rewards. According to both my calculations, and the information on the dashboard about my neuron (view on the dashboard yourself @neuron 16564988800179869556), i should be earning 0.29 Maturity a day, and currently i earn about 0.13.

Anyone have any insight or advice for how i can get to the bottom of this and gain my correct amount of rewards? Thank you in advance.

It says neuron not found.
Do manual voting, if you managed to stake this much, it dont hurt to log in and vote each day.

Thank you, i missed a number when copying.

I am a medical student and likely wouldnt have time to manual vote every single day, but may be a good last resort.

You can follow Dfinity neuron 27 and pick one more like OpenChat 17682165960669268263. Those combined will vote on all proposals.

So you reckon the error is that the neurons im following arent voting enough to maximize rewards? Is there anything else that could be going on that would be lowering my rewards?

On what day did you make this change? It can take 4+ days (the length of an NNS proposal voting period) to see the full effect of the change.

Thank you. I largely forgot about that delay.

I switched my followings 6 days ago now and added OpenChat about 3 days ago. I will take a couple more days and see if the rewards change.

Hi there…yes this has happened to me as well! In Early April my regular rewards stopped and now it seems I hardly get any rewards and if I do it’s about half of my usual reward! Do we know how to fix this??

Are you by chancefollowing neuron “28”? Your situation sounds very similar to mine.

I have switched my following to Dfinity Foundation + OpenChat and my rewards have seemed to increase back to normal. It did take ~5 days as Dylan suggested it might.

Hi Herchey, sorry for the late reply. As I’m a newby my account was on hold until verified, which has now happened and so I can message again! Yes I was following ‘28’ and also Dfinity and Jerry Banfield! Yesterday I changed to just following Difnity on everything and so hoping that in a few days my regular rewards are back like yours!! I’ve probably missed out on about a month’s worth which is annoying!!. Anyway thanks for the reply and hopefully it’s problem sorted!! Will report back either way!

I have the same issue, in my case the maturity stopped increasing completely.
Yesterday I’ve set my neurons to follow 27, 28 and OpenChat. Is there a reason not to follow 28 at all, should I remove it?
Also, if you are from a seed wallet, how are you managing the neurons? I’m still using dfx CLI as I didn’t figure out how to use NNS web ui with the seed neurons.
