The Smart Logistics project is a scalable platform leveraging the Internet Computer to address logistics inefficiencies faced by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Kenya. It focuses on transparency, instant payments, fraud reduction, sustainability, and operational efficiency. With a goal to empower Kenyan SMEs with a comprehensive solution for managing their logistics, enabling them to scale and compete in local and international markets. This includes features such as shipment tracking, payment gateways, fraud prevention, carbon footprint monitoring, and ethical supply chain management.
The primary users will be Kenyan SMEs that require reliable logistics solutions. Secondary users include logistics providers, regulators, and sustainability-conscious stakeholders in the supply chain ecosystem. The project will rely on the Internet Computer for decentralized deployment and its unique capabilities like HTTP outcalls, vetKD, and direct Bitcoin integration. Third-party logistics providers and SMEs will also contribute feedback for platform testing. We plan to use the grant for designing and developing the platform’s architecture and functionality, cover development costs for the transparency ledger, payment gateway, carbon tracker, and user dashboard, hire external specialists for UI/UX design, testing, and stakeholder consultations and to deploy the final platform on the Internet Computer and conduct beta testing with SMEs.

Also by utilizing their resources it will save you a lot of time navigating the complex nature of the finance industry.
