Hello DFINITY Support,
I accidentally created two extra Internet Identity anchors while upgrading to Internet Identity 2.0 — one using my Google account and another using my email login. These accounts do not display anchor numbers, and I would like to have them deleted so I can attach those login methods to my original Internet Identity “my main anchor number (available upon request via private message).”
For verification, I confirm that I can still log into both the Google and email accounts used to create those extra anchors if needed for confirmation.
Thank you for your help!
If you set-up a recovery phrase for those identities, you can then unlink the Google account afterwards in the access methods. After unlinking the Google account, you can link it to any existing identity or create a new identity again with it.
I didn’t get a number for either new identity I didn’t even realise I created new anchors I thought I was adding my google account as an extra passkey to my original identity number. I didn’t realise until I logged into icp swap and nns and realised when my balances weren’t there. I also did this with my email as well and when I went to manage identity there was no option to remove it for either one.
Sorry I also didn’t get recovery phrases for either.
How do you, or is it possible to delete/unset seed phrase
This is still the same as it was in II 1.0, you can reset it but not remove it.
And no way to set pass phrase offline?
You can sign into those identities with their respective Google account(s) at id.ai and then set-up a recovery phrase in “Access & recovery”. After doing so, there should be a dropdown button with an “Unlink” option for the Google access method.
