The self-declaration and Proof of Identity documents were uploaded on the IC Wiki
The hashes of the Self declaration and Proof of Identity documents match the hashes in the proposal
Earlier voters rejected this proposal since the necessary documents were not on the Wiki as required. The proposer had complication with having it’s documents approved by an admin as can be seen here. In this case, I agree with @ZackDShere since there is no need to push for a resubmission when we can maybe see the documents being uploaded during the proposal voting time. Although the proposal as been rejected I casted my vote based on this reasons. I would like to know what is the opinion of DFINITY on this @SvenF. In my opinion if we can see fixes on details such as this (not including misguiding summary on the proposal and similar errors) at least 1 day before the end of the proposal then we should wait for a resolution.
Anyways since the documents are now uploaded on the Wiki there should be no problems and I advise @yannick.endrion to try again.
Hi @LaCosta I do not have a Dfinity opinion on this, my personal opinion would also be to have it fixed by the wiki moderator (I am not a wiki moderator by the way, but I am able to add wiki pages) at the latest 1 day before the proposal expires. If it is not fixed 1 day before voting expiring, it would make sense to reject as community members might not have time enough anymore the review the proposal.
Even better guideline might be if potential new node providers wait for the uploading of documents to the wiki being approved before submitting a node provider proposal. Normally, there is no urgency in submitting node provider proposals anyway.
Thanks everyone for your valuable replies and many thanks @SvenF for moving the documents. The proposal have been refused, but it may be only related to the initial missing hosting on wiki. I will try to do a new proposal, in order to be ready when new nodes providers will be accepted.
Declaration of Independence: Both Existing Node Provider and New Node Provider declare that they do not have any majority control in each other’s operations, financial interests, or governance decisions. Each party operates independently, with no undue influence or control over the other’s activities.
Node Deployment Confirmation:The Existing Node Provider confirms that two nodes have been deployed with the following configurations in Data Center(s) mentioned above:
IPv4 connectivity established
Domain name assigned and operational
Reward Activation Date:
The above-mentioned nodes will begin earning the new reward values as of December 1st, 2024.
I note from the dashboard that the data centre owner is Racks Central and the number of nodes is 27, rather than Telin RC and 28 respectively as stated in the handover declaration (@162DC@Protocol16 can you clarify?). However, the current node allowance for 162 Digital Capital in SG3 as shown by the ic-admin tool and in this proposal is 28, matching the rewardable_nodes parameter in the current proposal’s payload. The name of the data centre owner should not alter this process.
The proposal details are consistent with the node handover process outlined here and here in the current thread.
The new NP has currenly 0 nodes which means it’s able to add the proposed 28 nodes.
Although the DC sg3 has only 27 nodes differing from the 28 proposed, using the ic-admin tool we can verify that the Node Operator that currently operatores nodes in the sg3 DC currently has a node allowance of 28 nodes of Gen-1.
The proposal meets the requirements, and is in line with prior discussions about the takeover of Gen-1 "type1": 28 nodes in SG3 from NP 162 Digital Capital by Protocol16.
The links in the summary provide detailed info and thhe hash for the handover document is a match, and it’s great to see it included in the summary.
So is the Data Center ID SG3 as well as NO and NP from the payload is a match.
I cannot find your forum post that lists your element handle and which states which DC you are taking over. I have figured that out from the self-declaration, but can you please post that information for clarity, along with the date that you expect to onboard the nodes and start hosting them and earning rewards? (Or if you have already posted that, can you direct me to that forum post please?) Thank you!
Hi everyone, Cross posting this information here for your visibility and as instructed here. by Blockchain Development Labs Let me know if you have any questions.
Uvcac Labs LLC can also be found in the public chamber of commerce in Delaware. This can be verified here. The link to this registry was provided in the self declaration by @Uvaca.
I successfully won some Gen 1 servers in the silent auction:
28 servers located in Boston
14 servers located in Atlanta
My plan is to relocate these servers to the UAE. This move aims to support further decentralization of the network by reducing reliance on an over-represented region and introducing a new geographic area for node operations!
I’m excited to share that I’ve acquired some Gen 1 servers through the silent auction:
28 servers currently in Marseille
14 servers situated in Atlanta
I’ll be transferring these servers to the UAE, which will help strengthen network decentralization by shifting resources from heavily concentrated regions while establishing node operations in an underserved geographic area.
