Low Voting Rewards Compared to Dashboard Calculations – Need Clarification

Hi everyone,

I need some help understanding my ICP voting rewards.

I have an 8-year neuron staked and it’s still locked. Based on the dashboard, my expected APY is around 13%, but the actual rewards I’m receiving are significantly lower than the calculation shows.

For governance, my neuron is following OpenChat’s neuron, and I’ve set it to differently follow for non-governance votes.

Could there be an issue with:

  1. The voting power calculations?

  2. The delay in reward distribution?

  3. My neuron’s follow settings affecting rewards?

I’d appreciate it if anyone from the community or DFINITY team could help clarify why my actual rewards are lower than expected.

Most likely you only follow some topics, others wont be voted on. Log in every day and look what your following dont cover, than add following to those proposals.

Based on your following you shouldnt have missed any votes. Btw openchat rejects every proposal. (If you care about that sort of thing). This does gaurantee you get all the rewards though.

The dashboard is estimating your future APY based on network dynamics which can change in ways that are not predictable. Its not a fixed apy.
