This is an on-and-off issue.
I have a MacBook Pro 2025, and occasionally, my laptop struggles to load ICP Hosted website regardless of:
- Browser
- Internet Connection
- Most Recent IOS OS
On my iPhone 15, every website is snappy fast, however.
The picture below shows the network trace for when I try to load a playground hosted website deployed on ICP Ninja:
I don’t receive a response message and presume this is due to the API Boundaries nodes blocking my requests.
Another update, Safari does not seem to have this issue.
IC website struggle to load on:
Ideally, I would like to use every browser to view IC hosted websites. I’ve been playing with my Chrome DNS settings to no avail, and I am using “No Protection” in security settings.
Hey @Delpen9
There is a protection mechanism that bans an IP address for a couple of minutes if that IP sent an excessive amount of requests (> 1k rps). However, when that kicks in, all your requests should be blocked independent of browser as your IP is being blocked.
Do you only struggle to load the playground hosted website or also other IC hosted websites (e.g., internetcomputer.org, nns.ic0.app, identity.ic0.app)?
Does it happen consistently or only intermittently?
Do you have plugins installed in those two browsers?
If you’re not facing issues with Safari but are with the other two browsers on the same machine, then it sounds more like a software issue than a network one.
