If you have configured Firefox to “Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed” then you will have to add their domains to the list of exceptions for it to work.
The reason is that apps using the identity service seem to do that via a
ServiceWorker, which Firefox won’t allow if you set the above setting.
I was just able to fix this on my machine and thought I’d share. Finally I don’t have to use Chrome anymore for accessing the NNS. Have a good day
I think you may have just answered why IC dapps don’t load in Tor Browser, which is a fork of Firefox. And it looks like it has the “Delete cookies and site data when Tor Browser is closed” permanently checked.
When trying to access https://nns.ic0.app, the Tor Browser gives the following message:
Installing "Internet Computer Validating Service Worker"...
Please wait one moment. Blockchain cryptography will make this domain secure more secure.
This web browser cannot interact with the Internet Computer securely.** **Please try new web browser software.
The IC works over Tor. Why doesn’t it work in Tor Browser?
