Internet Identity has just been upgraded to a new release that addresses a problem some users were experiencing with Google.
This issue caused some frustration, and we appreciate your patience as we worked to resolve it. When the problem was discovered on Tuesday, we began working on a solution. A proposal (138188) was created on the same day and awaited a vote on Thursday. Unfortunately, the execution of the proposal on Thursday encountered a minor snag with candid serialization, so we had to proceed with a new approach.
To ensure the best possible experience for all Internet Identity users, we moved quickly. We created another proposal on Thursday (138262), which was rejected today due to incorrect arguments.
Today, we created another proposal (138263) for the same version as proposal 138262, but with the correct arguments. With DFINITY’s vote, the problem with Google has been successfully resolved.
Our priority was to implement this fix for you, which led to this succession of proposals.
