Can someone fork Bitcoin and run the protocol on ICP? I guess you couldn’t use asics to mine, but what would it look like?

In terms of ICP’s capabilities, it is more suitable to integrate the Bitcoin chain into the ICP system and operate Bitcoin directly through ICP, without the need to FORK a bitcoin.
I guess BOB does this now.

So, what happens if 100 other projets just like BOB get spun up and ICP becomes a network for a bunch of “proof of cycles” network. Will it get clogged? Will the economics balance it out? IS THIS AN EXISTENTIAL CRISIS? No one seems to care right now.
I think it’d use a ton of cycles and we’d be rich
Maybe Dfinity should add a personal AI for everyone into the NNS and users pay to use it with “BOB” tokens. You could burn some cycles and fire up a miner to mine them or buy some surplus “BOB” on a dex.
- It gives everyone logging into the NNS with their II an AI to use. Pretty cool.
- Network would grow and burn cycles from people mining the token to use the AI.
In any event the BOB is here to stay, what other use cases do we have for it?
Apparently a token launch platform. I was hoping for some gamification for market-valued UTXOs or sats, but market say number go up good good
I’d rather see hashing of something with it’s own market value than generic hashing trying to establish new value without a clear utility
