I have been in the market like 9 years. I know. The moment I saw hotornot, I know who they are, so I don’t put one cent into it. I can control myself because I know. but many ppl don’t know, and they put many into it that actually hurt the whole ICP ecosystem.
I believe as sns projects, they need to succeed since they are the symbols of the success or not of the ICP and ICP eco. If most sns projects are died, then ICP will died.
We have to make it impossible for c-r-o-o-k-s to survive here in the ICP ecosystem.

Yes, I have tried their dapp through various iterations and yes, it is disappointing to see little progress for a long time and I don’t believe they have as many users as they claim and it is basically a very repetitious loop repeating videos that you’ve already seen multiple times through. Therefore the algorithm that is supposed to predict what you’d like to see doesn’t seem to be doing a good job and/or they just don’t have enough users period.
Being that YRAL is in India and there are very successful Tubers like TSeries and I’m sure many Indian tiktokers and Bollywood, it would seem there should be a lot more Indian content in order to attract more of the Indian market and to ramp those users up. It shouldn’t be rocket science to figure out what type of users you need to attract more of the same.
Unfortunately, the current content that has been attracted seems to be somewhat typical of tiktok as well in general (the internet has denigrated into this selling of sex) so I’m not sure I am blaming them entirely for what users currently want to post however I get what you’re saying. It is a bit seedy for sure if they decide to allow such content and esp. as a first impression cleaner content would be better.
Obviously the problem is how can you have such a large team and not be showing at least some type of incremental dapp progress? Lots of promises but nothing to show for it. I’m not crazy about the meme coin creation built in either. I don’t believe that is needed and now what is the purpose of DOLR.AI in terms of AI? Are they just putting AI in the name as a gimmick because where is the AI here?
I believe that these projects must stop pivoting and laser focus on the original plan that was sold to the community and make them happen and show progress within a reasonable time frame or else refund everyone and close up shop on the IC.
Using up valuable compute and/or tying up subnets that serious projects need is not okay and having cycle costs raised unnecessarily is another problem.
Well Saikat, please do prove all of these detractors wrong and show us what a million ICP project really should be capable of esp. with all the upgrades DFINITY has made to the protocol. Let’s see something professional because otherwise no is buying any of this information you posted.
So let me just clarify here Adam. You are basically insinuating that Saikat is in cahoots with George Bassadone and that they together came up with a plan to tie up the subnets on the IC by using the hotornot/yral dapp and spawning zillions of canisters using heartbeats on purpose in order to force DFINITY to allow for more onboarding of Node Providers much sooner than actually necessary in order to steal more node provider rewards out of the system? Even though Saikat flatly denies that he has no business whatsoever with hosting any nodes on the IC? George is somehow paying him in order to do this you believe?
In addition, you’re saying that YRAL and George have colluded to also essentially do wash trading on the SNS in order to steal funds from the neuron fund and they colluded to do it again with EstateDao, FuelEV, Fomowell, and ICPex?
In addition, George and YRAL and their associates have set up many fake node provider accounts in order to steal even more node provider rewards out of the IC?
Is this what you have concluded? Do I have this straight?
And if this is true, why has DFINITY not kicked all of George’s nodes off the IC? Or taken action against YRAL or any of these SNS’s that have essentially cheated the SNS system and the neuron fund esp. if you have such damning evidence to convict them all? Should they not be forced to pay back the neuron fund in full at a minimum?
And finally have you considered that there is a chance that some or even all of your circumstantial evidence could possibly be wrong or misguided to some degree?

There was a flood in my village so I had to sell the SWAMP to buy clothes and food for cold, hungry orphans.

Decide AI - Doing a great job just quietly getting on with it. Their proof of humanity tool has so many real world use cases. We will be using it in NFT Maker. Imagine you can have proof of age, so you can get into a club or be served at a bar without having to share your personal details with total strangers? Just undeniable proof that you are old enough.
KongSwap - Don’t really need to elaborate here. Pretty sure everyone here has had experience with it. The prediction market was a nice surprise edition.
OpenChat - Again, no drama just have a product that works reliably. (believe me I don’t want this drama and would be really happy if there was only sunshine and rainbows to post about)
Sneed - I really like this project (especially as it was essentially the goal for SNS-1 before we erm… interrupted it)
Nuance - One of the first DAOs to have a usable product. Sadly I don’t have enough time to really blog atm but I have been watching their progress from afar. Needs more awareness, but so does the IC in general.
Others I think will be great, just need time and a bit of extra assistance:
Cecil the Lion - Really great cause, would be nice for IC to have something that was humanitarian to show another great use case for blockchains. Adam and I were heavily involved in the creation of Giveth on Eth (the name was Adam’s idea). The concept there was a completely transparent system for charities. The way charities currently operate in the real world is borderline pyramid scheme. Blockchain tech can eradicate that and ensure the donated funds get to the right people!
Kinic - Slow going but quietly developing. The founder is super clever. Absolutely not a rug, I don’t believe he has taken a penny from the treasury.
ICPanda, Ghost, Dogmi - All have been let down by the current limitations with NFTs on the IC. I think we should give all these guys the benefit of doubt until they have the available tools to do something creative.
There are some others I could mention too, but I don’t have enough personal experience with their project to go in depth. There are also great teams that are developing on the IC and do not have a DAO (Cubetopia, IC Tookit etc).
The ecosystem is far from stagnant or dying as some people like to decry. It is just some less than stellar projects have managed to go through the SNS route and at present this is where the Dfinity marketing directs newcomers towards.
Alice and BOB have some of the largest and most active communites on ICP.
The dev has created a bunch of fun and excitement from his mining dapp, We have almost ten derivatives already chasing a piece of BOBs liquidity, volume and success, then he dropped the launchpad (literally started a memecoin season here) and then we have our Alice. Yet you guys want to larp like the ALICE SNS is a grift or needs you guys to take it over and make it better.
Ill literally never spend a single minute on this chain, idgeek everything and never look back if yiu guys succeed in taking over.
