The ICRC-2 Fungible Token Standard has been live for almost a year.
Hi everyone,
The motion proposal 122613 for the ICRC-2 Fungible Token Standard is live and being voted right now!
Keep in mind that the summary is missing the API part because of an escaping mistake. We should proceed with voting as what is missing is just a copy of what is available in the standard repository.
Thanks to everyone involved with the new standard.
ICP ledger also supports ICRC-2.
The FI Team submitted the upgrade canister proposal 125315 today, 2023-10-19. DFINITY plans to vote on this proposal on Monday, 2023-10-23.
How many more years will it take for SNS tokens to support ICRC-2?
Hi folks,
After consulting with the financial-integration team we’ve learned that the ICRC2 features will not be enabled unless an upgrade argument is provided. Providing upgrade args is currently unsupported for SNSes, but is on the NNS teams roadmap. The NNS team still plans to submit these proposals today as there are many updates still worth consuming, but not ICRC2 features will be available.

Dear Working Group and community!
In the upcoming meeting on Jan 23, 2024, we will continue our discussion on ICRC-4 on batch transfers. The main decision to be made is the look and feel of the full-batch API, i.e., whether errors are handled as separate top-level structure or whether responses come in a flat list with per-item or per-batch errors.

Hi @curry . ICRC-2 is supported in the ledger, but the upgrades need to be rolled out. They are blocked on SNS-W work that needs to be done. This work is up next for the NNS team. I don’t have a date for when it will be available yet.
