SSL Issue with IC (Internet Computer)

by the way, you’ll know you have the file set up correctly, if you navigate to here: it should start downloading that file E Glaze Homepage Application

(at the time i posted it, you are not hosting the file)

if you click that link and download the ic-domains file, and your

3 DNS records are set exactly as in the article, youre ready to do the last part. which is the boundary node request. I’m happy to do that for you if you’re not comfortable with the terminal. Just drop me a line later when you confirmed those first steps.

in this section of the TXT dns settings : TXT, _canister-id, “your-cani-ster-iiii-ddd”

do I just enter my canister ID in the section marked with “ and do I include these “ In the DNS records?

just put your canister id final answer it will show in quotes cuz its a TXT record

I’m now on live chat with Namecheap as my domain isn’t showing on my dashboard for me to edit DNS settings but showing up on there end. I will more than likely need more help thank you I will be in touch as soon as I’ve manage to get the DNS bits done

yah like I said, shoot me a message when you’ve verified the DNS, and you verified that the ic-domains file is being served from your site. I will help you do the last step its no big deal.

Sorry I couldn’t reply yesterday it told me I had reached my message limit as a new user. I configured all the DNS settings laid out but it would not propagate the DNS with those settings, asked caffeine as I had no way of contacting you and its changed them back to :

CNAME @ eglazeltd-c50.caffeine etc

CNAME acme-challenge acme-challenge.eglazeltd icp2 etc

CNAME www eglazeltd-c50.caffeine etc

TXT _canister-id “e65fc-taaaa-aaaao-qlcca-cai

It now has fully propagated on DNS checker but still not working, I know these are obviously wrong as it still doesn’t work my URL. Step 3 and the project files are done and in the code with my domains. I desperately need to get this resolved today and really appreciate your help. Im probably making you feel like banging your head against a brick wall

What is your domain name

eglazeltd . co . uk & eglazeltd . com (put spaces so it didn’t reject post) the .com just redirects to the .co.uk anyway so only need to worry about the .co.uk

first problem:

you are still not hosting the ic-domains file which should be here:

prompt: (copy this exactly into caffeine)

I want to connect my custom domain the front end must serve ic-domains as a certified asset, which is a file with no extension.

frontend/public/.well-known/ic-domains =
"eglazeltd.com
eglazeltd.co.uk"

I will copy & paste that into there now it’s now struggling to publish any of my changes . Just the go live button stays greyed out for some reason

i made a typo wait in the 2nd url its fixed now

once you do that prompt, you should be able to find this file in your code base:

yours will say your domain names.

It’s just working on it now will locate that once its done and screenshot

It is showing up my domains in the ic-domains both URLS are in there. tried to send screenshot but been flagged as spam and removed

did you push it live? (publish) I ask because the file is not being served still.

it won’t let me push any changes live as the go live button is greyed out and caffeine says :

If the “Go Live” button is still greyed out, it means your site’s custom domain hasn’t been fully validated yet by the Internet Computer gateway — even though your DNS is propagated. This happens when the .well-known/ic-domains file isn’t detected correctly as plain text.

To fix that and make the “Go Live” button active, I’ll redeploy your site ensuring the file is exposed properly so the gateway can verify it and allow you to publish live with the updated contact details.

also I don’t think your dns configuration is correct.
Can you screenshot the config?

These are what caffeine told me to change them to (i know its not on your instructions but where i was limited to posting yesterday I couldn’t get in contact with you)

ok lets do the .com one first can you show me the .com one
