I’m not against artist royalties, I’m against a marketplace hardcoding a 1% fee into every transaction regardless as to whether that transaction occurs on their marketplace or not, under the guise of “custodianship”, especially when these collections are then abused through value extraction (ufwij is busy!) & in many cases have the canisters paused or uninstalled.
I 100% agree. more chars
I mean.. what else did you expect from centralized launchpads..
on the bright side, it only took 5 months for this discussion to get started in the forums / or continue without being censored
ICP Governance is simply amazing
@catpirate32
I fully agree with the sentiment of your comment.
We are able to retrieve the SHA hash of the wasm module of any canister running on the ic. If the team maintains a reproducible build in their github, we should be able to verify the source code is not malicious.
The community simply must choose to support teams that prioritize open source (and reproducibility) of their code, that is the only way to address this issue.
@bob11 How about the progress?
There is too much bug on Bioniq and Entreport. but @bob11 dont care.
Nope, and that’s why we’re going to build a better mousetrap
3 weeks passed @bob11 doesn’t bother even to follow up his words here on dfinity forum. Now it should become clearer why speaking out was neccessary - this is exactly what his approach is with the users of his platfroms. I used to praise him publicly on twitter.
In the passed 2-3 days there were some login issues on Bioniq - he quickly fixed that - but on issues with people unable to access their assets he is radio silent.
I recently saw @bob11 with @Kyle_Langham and @dominicwilliams seating together .
What kind of trust would any user have with putting BTC on his ODIN platform after seeing this mess. I withdraw everything.
I am thinking as a next step drafting proposal on the NNS where this will gain wide recognition as a problem and possible solution on vote.
I have not drafted proposal on NNS until now so I ask for contribution / opinions on fellow icp supporters here:
What should the proposal contain - what possible actionable results we can get from this?
This must be resolved.
Thank you all for sharing your opinions and participating.
Well its ok, what we’re working on will make them obsolete, so I’m not worried that they’ll continue to pollute the ecosystem.
We’ve also got proof that the Motoko Ghosts hack was a Toniq labs employee, and they stole a lot of money from the ecosystem.
Just grab some we’ve got this
Its nice that you make this initiative- But this must be fixed and assets returned to be available to investors.
Hello everyone,
If you haven’t seen already, you should be able to see all of your inscriptions in Bioniq again. This includes any you minted, purchased, or received via transfer.
Again, this wasn’t a canister issue (canister has always shown correct ownership), this was an indexer issue. But this has now been fixed!
If you are still missing any assets please ping me @BobBodily on Telegram and I can assist.
Thanks for the update—glad to see the issue with missing inscriptions has finally been resolved. I’ve checked and can confirm everything appears as expected now. Appreciate the effort to get this fixed.
That being said, I think this experience highlighted something important: technical issues can happen, but communication and accountability matter just as much as the fix itself. For several weeks, users—including myself—were left without clear updates, despite multiple attempts to follow up. In a space built on decentralization and trust, silence can do more damage than the issue itself.
When people put time, energy, and assets into a platform, they deserve timely, transparent communication, especially when something goes wrong. That’s how confidence is built—and maintained.
I truly believe we have the chance to build something powerful here. But to do that, we need to hold ourselves and each other to a higher level of responsibility. We need to keep the focus on what’s good for the whole community, not just individual interests.
Let’s take this as a reminder that open dialogue, accountability, and a user-first approach are what will move ICP forward.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this thread and helped push for resolution.
Entrepot is still broken and needs to be fixed. It’s about time someone took care of it.
We really need to start from scratch on the whole NFT fiasco. Repearing/fixing a 200CC motor will always be max… a 200CC motor, about time we build a rocketship.
I heard a rumor someones building a better boat.
