RFP: ICP Canister Developer for Verifiable Intelligence Infrastructure
Project: JackBear + ARK — AI Agent & Enterprise Data Infrastructure
Platform: World Computer (Internet Computer Protocol)
Status: Actively hiring
Timeline: January 2026 start, 12-month roadmap
Engagement: Contract, 40 hrs/week
Overview
We are building JackBear + ARK, a World Computer–native intelligence infrastructure designed for enterprise, regulated, and real-world environments.
ARK functions as an AI agent operating layer.
JackBear is the persistent backend intelligence system, built entirely on the Internet Computer.
This platform enables organizations to securely store, organize, audit, and operate on mission-critical data through AI agents — with verifiable computation, long-term persistence, and no dependence on traditional cloud providers.
We are looking for a senior ICP canister developer (Motoko or Rust) to design and implement the production-grade backend systems that power this infrastructure.
This is serious infrastructure work — not a demo, not a hackathon project.
What Will Run on ICP
All core backend logic runs natively inside ICP canisters, not on AWS/GCP.
This includes:
-
Persistent enterprise data models (documents, manuals, records, audit logs)
-
Secure, identity-aware access control (non-custodial)
-
AI-agent-ready data retrieval and orchestration
-
Verifiable data ingestion, storage, and provenance
-
Tamper-proof state updates and historical records
-
Inter-canister orchestration for modular systems
-
Public & private query / update APIs
-
Cycle-aware compute and storage logic
-
Upgrade-safe, long-lived canister architectures
Initial Scope
-
Canister architecture & domain separation (identity, data, orchestration)
-
Persistent state design (stable memory, upgrade safety)
-
Data integrity & verifiability patterns
-
Inter-canister communication strategies
-
Query vs update optimization
-
Cycle usage estimation, monitoring, and optimization
-
Support for future scaling (enterprises, users, AI agents)
Initial engagement is 40 hrs/week, with the option to scale as the platform matures.
Required Experience
Strong ICP fundamentals are required.
You should have solid, practical understanding of:
-
Canister lifecycle & upgrade safety
-
Stable memory patterns
-
Query vs update semantics
-
Async inter-canister workflows
-
Cycles economics & optimization
-
On-chain data integrity guarantees
You must have real ICP production experience:
-
Not tutorials
-
Not forks
-
Not toy apps
Motoko or Rust accepted.
Experience with data-heavy systems, enterprise infrastructure, or AI-adjacent backends is a strong plus.
Not a Fit If
-
You’re primarily a frontend, Unity, or game developer
-
You only have hackathon or sample-app experience
-
You’re looking for token-only, speculative, or short-term work
This is paid, long-horizon infrastructure work.
Compensation
-
Paid contract
-
Full-time engagement (40 hrs/week)
-
Competitive rate based on experience
-
Long-term opportunity as the platform scales
How to Apply
Please reply with:
-
Short intro + ICP experience
-
Motoko or Rust preference
-
Links to 2 real ICP projects (no forks)
-
Relevant infrastructure / data systems background
-
Availability + time zone
DMs welcome.

We’re building verifiable intelligence infrastructure on the World Computer — designed to last, scale, and be accountable by default.
If you’re interested in serious ICP infrastructure work with real-world enterprise impact, let’s talk.
NOTE: Everyone who submitted for previous RFP on the other Dev Bounties opportunities here are already being considered for all RFP’s including this one. If you’re reading this, feel free to voice your preference for which RFP interests you more. Thanks, will be following up soon.
