RFP: ICP Canister Developer for Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Backend
Project: Security Infrastructure / Cryptography
Status: Actively hiring
Timeline: Immediate start, 12-month roadmap
Engagement: Contract, ~20 hrs/week (scalable)
Overview
We are building a post-quantum cryptography (PQC) verification and policy engine and integrating it natively on the Internet Computer.
We’re looking for experienced ICP canister developers (Motoko or Rust) to help build a production-grade, security-critical backend. This is an enterprise-focused project, not experimental or academic.
What Will Run on ICP
-
Post-quantum signature verification (NIST-approved algorithms)
-
Policy logic and verification workflows
-
Attestation + tamper-proof audit logs
-
Secure state management
-
On-chain verification APIs
All core security logic runs inside ICP canisters — not on AWS/GCP.
Initial Scope
-
Canister architecture design
-
PQC verification logic integration
-
Policy engine implementation
-
Stable memory & upgrade patterns
-
Secure audit log design
-
Inter-canister communication
-
Cycle usage estimation & optimization
Initial engagement is ~20 hrs/week, with the option to scale as the project progresses.
Required Experience
Strong ICP fundamentals are required.
Solid understanding of:
-
Canister lifecycle (upgrades, stable memory)
-
Query vs update calls
-
Async inter-canister patterns
-
Cycles management
-
On-chain data integrity patterns
Experience building non-trivial ICP canisters (not tutorials or forks)
Motoko or Rust (crypto or security-adjacent work is a plus)
Not a Fit If
-
You’re primarily a frontend developer
-
You only have hackathon or sample-app experience
-
You’re looking for token-only or speculative work
This is paid, production infrastructure work.
Compensation
-
Paid contract
-
Part-time to start (~20 hrs/week)
-
Competitive rate based on experience
-
Long-term opportunity as the platform scales
How to Apply
Please reply with:
-
Short intro + ICP experience
-
Motoko or Rust preference
-
Links to 2 real ICP projects (no forks)
-
Any security / cryptography background (if applicable)
-
Availability + time zone
DMs welcome.
Closing
We’re building what may be one of the first post-quantum security layers running natively on ICP.
If you’re interested in long-horizon, security-critical infrastructure, let’s talk.
