Liquidity Pools and Bribery

First off, the Dragginz liquidity pool on kongswap.io is looking a lot healthier now. We’re going to be boosting liquidity for legit projects like Dragginz, Motoko and Sneed.

Secondly there has been a rumour going around that I’m somehow bribing @Lorimer to back up my votes. Please if you’re going to accuse me just do it in this thread and not whispers on discord and OpenChat.

I only do bounties and try and help people in the ecosystem, I don’t want or need to bribe anybody. This recent photo of Lorimer should prove that he hasn’t been bribed, look at the state of his bike!

I should do ICPSwap but it times out a lot for me, I need to report that.

Yes, I am here the same, the experience on kongswap is much much better than icpswap. I am curious how kongswap could do this: faster and almost never fail.

The fur coat is luxurious tho, incredible drip.

This! :backhand_index_pointing_down: :backhand_index_pointing_down: :backhand_index_pointing_down:

This accusation has reared its head a few times in the last week or so. As @borovan has pointed out, I’m not being bribed (I take my role as an active governance participant very seriously). There’s a big difference between bribes and bounties, and there’s a big difference between comic effect and matter of fact.

I posted my SYBILing nodes thread weeks before my first DMs with Adam, and that thread was preceeded by months of Subnet Management reviews where I was slowly refining tooling to pick up on commonalities between node providers. There’s still lots to do in that respect, and I’m glad the NP-clusters idea has been picked up by DFINITY.

Before @borovan and @Thyassa picked up the SYBILing nodes issue and started making waves, very little was happening. I think the community as a whole owe them a massive thanks (I’m certainly thankful).

As for my relationship with Wenzel, this is steeped in its own history that you can read about here, here and here. In a nutshell I’m extremely pro-decentralisation, pro-meritocracy, anti-trust (it’s inevitable that we’d clash horns).

Counter to what some people think, the last few weeks is what effective decentralisation looks like. The community keeping itself in check. Harmony, group think and agreement should not be the status quo (that’s what complacency looks like).

In the interest of transparency and clearing my name, this is what is being misconstrued →

Just to be absolutely clear, my actions are motivated by wanting the IC to succeed.
I’ve not received funds from Adam, but if he genuinely wants to I’d gratefully ask for it to go to the ledger account for my 8-year-staked LORIMER known neuron. This would make his very kind gesture transparent as it would be on full public display. I hope that anybody questioning my integrity would see this as a sign of my long-term commitment to the IC.

To add to this. @borovan and I are working out an idea for a grant/bounty program. It is very early stages, but there are lots of open source tools that could benefit IC developers that we would like to see created.

We only decided to do this last night so give us some time to figure out how it’ll work.

Our goal is to help the IC fulfil its potential. Yes we may have kicked up a huge fuss lately and some things were done that definitely could have been handled better. I have no regrets however, as the IC is stronger as a result and Dfinity is on the case.
