Import tokens on NNS

Transferring custom ICRC-1 tokens out of the NNS dapp

It works but is not useful… As it forgets the tokens after you log out.
I want to use the NNS as custody for all of my tokens come ON DFINITY!!

basic feature

I wouldn’t describe it as a ‘basic feature’ because the NNS dapp is a critical component of the ecosystem. This means there’s no room for errors, and a high level of security is required. As a result, certain features might seem “basic” at first glance, but in reality, they are more complex than they appear.

That being said, I’m no longer contributing to the NNS dapp as I’ve moved to a different team, though I still follow its progress from a distance, so based on the commit history, I’ve got the feeling that the team is actively working on it. Furthermore, the design for enabling users to import any ICRC-1 token into their NNS dapp account was proposed in this post by @chepreghy. Perhaps he can share more about the current status when he’s back at work on Monday.

Hey @gatsby_esp, we have been working on the import tokens feature as @peterparker mentioned. We are getting very close to be able to propose the full release of the feature — you don’t have to wait much longer.

What url format can be used that directs the user that clicks it to the NNS dApp and:

• allows user to log in to NNS dApp
• presents the Import Token window with ‘Ledger Canister ID’ prepopulated with the Ledger Canister ID that is in the URL, then user proceeds to import token

i have imported a token on nns but the logo is not appearing any idea how to solve this ?

We’ve been contacted by a user who accidentally transferred his liquidity position to his NNS Principal. Our team has discussed it, and it seems there’s no way for us to help them move the position out. Do you have any insights or support for this? For example, could NNS support the display and transfer of liquidity positions?

yes the image is not appearing DFINITY Canister Candid UI you will find the logo in the token metadata
