I think this is related thread (though not sure if itā€™s still working as described):

It works but is not usefulā€¦ As it forgets the tokens after you log out.
I want to use the NNS as custody for all of my tokens come ON DFINITY!!

I wouldnā€™t describe it as a ā€˜basic featureā€™ because the NNS dapp is a critical component of the ecosystem. This means thereā€™s no room for errors, and a high level of security is required. As a result, certain features might seem ā€œbasicā€ at first glance, but in reality, they are more complex than they appear.

That being said, Iā€™m no longer contributing to the NNS dapp as Iā€™ve moved to a different team, though I still follow its progress from a distance, so based on the commit history, Iā€™ve got the feeling that the team is actively working on it. See for example those merged commits with the keywords ā€œtokenā€: https://github.com/dfinity/nns-dapp/pulls?q=is%3Apr+is%3Aclosed+token

Furthermore, the design for enabling users to import any ICRC-1 token into their NNS dapp account was proposed in this post by @chepreghy. Perhaps he can share more about the current status when heā€™s back at work on Monday.

Hey @gatsby_esp, we have been working on the import tokens feature as @peterparker mentioned. We are getting very close to be able to propose the full release of the feature ā€” you donā€™t have to wait much longer.
