ICP Tokens in Anonymous Account

Help Needed: Stuck

Hey ICP Community!

I’ve got a problem and could really use some help from anyone who knows about ICP token recovery.

What happened:
I accidentally sent 19.51538876 ICP tokens from my regular wallet to an anonymous address. Big mistake! Now those tokens are just sitting there, and I can’t do anything with them.

What I’m trying to do:
I need to get these tokens transferred to my secure_identity canister which I want to use as the control canister for my website. But since they’re in an anonymous account, I’m completely stuck.

If anyone has dealt with this before or knows a solution, I’d really appreciate some guidance! Is there any way to recover tokens from an anonymous address? Or am I out of luck?

Thanks in advance for any help!

PS: Feel free to reply here or message me directly if you have any ideas.

It is forbidden to transfer tokens out of the anonymous user’s accounts. So I don’t think those tokens are recoverable. @mathiasb could you guys maybe block transfers to anon? Even if it’s just for the default subaccount

“It is forbidden to transfer tokens” - are you saying it is technical possible?

The balance of the anonymous account has been contributed by various senders and thus allowing to withdraw from that account would benefit whoever wins the data race of making the transfer (as anybody can sing messages on behalf of the anonymous identity). Hence, I’m not sure it is a good idea.
