How do i calculate the dissolve delay bonus

Hey All :slightly_smiling_face:

I am trying to figure out how much ICP I will have at the end of the staking period.
I am attaching the relevant details below:

ICP staked: 650.00 ICP
Dissolving period: 4 years
Neuron Date Created: Oct 9, 2024 11:55 AM
Neuron Dissolve Date: Sep 29, 2028 11:58 AM
Neuron state: Dissolving
Estimate Rewards(Annualized): 10.7%

In 4 years - how many ICPs will I have after I get unlocked

It’s probably easiest if you simply simulate your situation. If I put your situation in the simulator, I get ~210 Maturity at the end of dissolving if you auto-stake maturity

I got a similar result as Severin. I’ve put 1461 day disolve delay, and started disolving immediately.

Go try it out. It’s easy to figure out

Thank you very much !!!

How is it possible that my Neuron shows a reward of 4.77 over a specific time, while the rewards calculator indicates I should receive around 11 tokens?

The calculator shows the rewards assuming you vote on every proposal. Best guess is that the followee setup you have means that your neuron doesn’t vote on ~half the proposals

Isn’t that sufficient as it is?

As it says on the label, this will only vote on proposals that are not of topic Governance, and SNS/Neuron fund. And this will only vote if DFINITY actually votes. Maybe if you compare your neuron’s voting history against a list of all proposals you can find out on which proposals your neuron is not voting on?

If I want to maximize my rewards, what do you suggest I do? Should I follow more Neurons?
I really appreciate your time and assistance.

More does not necessarily mean better. Your neuron votes if out of all the neurons you follow on the proposal’s topic either >=50% vote no or >50% vote yes. So in terms of rewards maximization it is better to follow few neurons that always vote instead of many neurons that occasionally vote

I set my Neuron to follow at least 3 Neurons for every possible topic.
Do you think this will ensure that my Neuron votes on every proposal?

The rules are as I described above. It depends on how actively those neurons vote. I don’t follow the known neurons too closely, so I don’t feel comfortable making suggestions. And even if I knew them in depth I don’t think I should make suggestions while wearing the DFINITY Team label

Is it most accurate to say that the best approach is to log into my Neuron every day, check for new proposals, and simply vote myself?

Best in terms of reliability, rewards, and health for the network yes. Best in terms of time spent on your side definitively not :slightly_smiling_face:
