Failed to Submit SNS DAO Proposal

Hi, we attempted to submit the proposal for the Juno SNS DAO during today’s livestream, but the submission ended in an error with the message: The proposal cannot be submitted. / Neuron doesn't have enough minted stake to submit proposal: 0

My neuron is valued at 21.9 ICP and has a dissolve delay of 150 days.

If this does not meet the requirements, could you please clarify what they are and where they are documented?

Ahhhh I know! I merged two neurons and the proposal was using one that was merged. I should point to the one that is active. :see_no_evil:

@peterparker I’m getting this same error. My neuron has 11 ICP in it with a dissolve delay of 187 days.

Err(Received an invalid response: ManageNeuronResponse { command: Some(Error(GovernanceError { error_type: InsufficientFunds, error_message: "Neuron doesn't have enough minted stake to submit proposal: 1100200000" })) })

would you happen to know what may be causing this issue?

I had to go through my Juno live stream video to find the one where it failed live—thanks for resurfacing it! :joy:

Jokes aside, fortunately, I left a comment there too. As I mentioned above, I tried to submit a proposal with neuron ID 123, but in the meantime, I merged two neurons and was looking to use the new neuron ID 456 to submit the proposal. However, I had forgotten to update this change in the tool I used to submit it. So the NNS was telling me, “Hey, your neuron holds less than 10 ICP” which was correct because I had staked ICP in the new neuron.

Anyway, in your case, I’d suggest double-checking that the correct neuron was used to submit your proposal.

If you did use the right neuron, maybe try adding more ICP? I couldn’t find the exact details, but I vaguely remember the 10 ICP rejection cost being increased. However, I couldn’t track down the related forum post or proposal, so maybe I just imagined it.

Thank you for the speedy response. I’ll do some more digging to see what the proposal cost is.

Ah, I got an answer. It’s 25 ICP now.

Thanks David. I was just about to look up the most recent rejected proposal to see what the cost was.

You beat me to it!
