Hey forum,
I took a short break from everything because I wanted to let DFINITY cook for a bit. But I think it’s time I speak up again.
After my amazing experience at WCS2025 in Zurich, I saw the potential in Caffeine AI. I also know that AI tech is blowing up on short-form social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. So I raised my voice and pushed for Caffeine to ride that wave.
I even offered to manage the whole thing. A lot of people were impressed, both the community and people inside DFINITY.
Yesterday I was honestly excited to finally see Caffeine showing up on TikTok. But the way it’s currently being handled feels off, and if it continues like this, we’re wasting serious potential.
First of all, the videos are almost a minute long or more. That’s a big mistake. TikTok’s algorithm doesn’t favor that format, and no average user is going to sit through a one-minute video from a project they’ve never heard of.
Second issue is the content itself. Maybe I need to remind everyone that 99.99% of people on TikTok have no idea what Caffeine AI even is. So why are we jumping straight into things like “What’s your experience with Caffeine AI” instead of clearly explaining what it actually is in a way that connects with people?
That kind of content just won’t land with normies. And as an 18-year-old with years of social media experience, especially with TikTok, I can say confidently that this is the wrong approach. You’re throwing away the potential Caffeine AI has to go viral.
This is nothing against the team. I know how much hard work has gone into building Caffeine and I respect that fully. But I think it wouldn’t hurt to accept a bit of community support here.
I’ve offered to help more than once, and I also know that @Leadership usually requires you to be present at HQ three times a week. I’d be willing to do that if needed. To me, getting Caffeine to go viral is a win for everyone.
The team deserves to have their work appreciated. This isn’t about trying to make a quick buck. It’s about upgrading the marketing strategy.
Thanks for reading.
