Caffeine AI Can Dominate TikTok - But Not Like This

Hey forum,

I took a short break from everything because I wanted to let DFINITY cook for a bit. But I think it’s time I speak up again.

After my amazing experience at WCS2025 in Zurich, I saw the potential in Caffeine AI. I also know that AI tech is blowing up on short-form social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. So I raised my voice and pushed for Caffeine to ride that wave.

I even offered to manage the whole thing. A lot of people were impressed, both the community and people inside DFINITY.

Yesterday I was honestly excited to finally see Caffeine showing up on TikTok. But the way it’s currently being handled feels off, and if it continues like this, we’re wasting serious potential.

First of all, the videos are almost a minute long or more. That’s a big mistake. TikTok’s algorithm doesn’t favor that format, and no average user is going to sit through a one-minute video from a project they’ve never heard of.

Second issue is the content itself. Maybe I need to remind everyone that 99.99% of people on TikTok have no idea what Caffeine AI even is. So why are we jumping straight into things like “What’s your experience with Caffeine AI” instead of clearly explaining what it actually is in a way that connects with people?

That kind of content just won’t land with normies. And as an 18-year-old with years of social media experience, especially with TikTok, I can say confidently that this is the wrong approach. You’re throwing away the potential Caffeine AI has to go viral.

This is nothing against the team. I know how much hard work has gone into building Caffeine and I respect that fully. But I think it wouldn’t hurt to accept a bit of community support here.

I’ve offered to help more than once, and I also know that @Leadership usually requires you to be present at HQ three times a week. I’d be willing to do that if needed. To me, getting Caffeine to go viral is a win for everyone.

The team deserves to have their work appreciated. This isn’t about trying to make a quick buck. It’s about upgrading the marketing strategy.

Thanks for reading.

I think you nailed it. Every channel ( TikTok ) in this case needs to be studied and adapted to in order to get the best results and maximum exposure.

Good luck!

I strongly support Badri in this. He’s the most active 18 yr old in the community. Let him advise on the tiktok marketing team if you wish to reach the youth on TikTok. Content needs to be fun, not formal.

Slowly and then quickly, @Badri will help $ICP and caffeine go viral.

What’s stopping you from just making TikTok videos on your own? Graphical assets are available, people have released videos, you can put some of that together and make TikTok friendly vids, or am I missing something here?

The community agrees and the social media team is back to posting:

“Tell me about your experience with Kaffeyne today” …. a 49 second video.

You are wasting potential for 1,000 views per video

Said what I had to say. Nobody listened, your loss. Wasn’t about money for me. I did it for our win on ICP….. Too bad that vision was not shared.

I think we should realize that DFINITY is just another player in the ICP ecosystem. Your marketing doesn’t have to depend on them, and again I assert: do what you can with the resources you have legally. They even say they’re just the main contributor to our ecosystem, and that it’s a public chain. So, you do have a stake to do what you can. I know personally I don’t have the time, but it looks like you do.

I also dont have time for volunteer work. As I’ve always mentioned in posts, Im currently working on my own project. I can’t just give away my time for free when there’s already a paid social media team that should be doing the job.

As I said, I’ve offered in forum posts to help DFINITY strengthen its social media strategy as a young person, but I won’t put in any more effort if DFINITY doesn’t want it.

Fair enough. I guess they want to keep releasing codes directly to Twitter bots and post videos on YouTube hardly 1k people ever watch. Haven’t seen the TikTok performance.

And it sucks, most of us are just pissed that despite the next level tech, Web2 has such stronghold that it doesn’t really matter. I think people need to start making money using Caffeine. Sure it uses Claude, but if money can be made people will naturally promote it.
