Okay, small correction: I said TacoDAO in my last post, but I actually meant Pokedstudio. That’s what I get for writing forum posts at 3AM — clearly not peak brain function time.
Anyway, here’s what I meant:
I’m not part of Poked. I don’t work with them, I don’t benefit from their proposal – nothing. But the way the ICP space is reacting to their $1M proposal is honestly a joke.
A project tries to build something fun and creative and people lose their minds. Yet when well-known people on ICP run shady projects, disappear, or overpromise and underdeliver, nobody says a word. That silence is louder than any “no” vote.
Let’s be honest: a lot of people voting “no” aren’t doing it because they truly think Poked is harmful or useless. They’re mad the funds are going to someone else. If this exact same proposal came from one of their friends or one of the usual “respected” names, they’d be clapping.
If you don’t like how the system works, that’s a separate conversation. But attacking a project just because it’s not yours or because it looks different from what you’re used to? That’s ego, not logic.
Just had to get that off my chest.
