I sent 400 USDC from my MetaMask wallet to my Plug wallet, then I tried to convert it to ckUSDC using Plug’s feature and, although it seemed to go through on Plug, it didn’t go through on the Ethereum blockchain. I then wanted to send my USDC (still not converted) back to my MetaMask wallet, but it also failed. I waited a bit and tried sending a transfer through again and it continued to fail, I even tried minting again and it failed to work. I’ve gone through almost $20 of ETH fees while doing this and I just want to get my money out of Plug. Help would be very much appreciated.
It’s probably best if you contact Plug directly. People need to stop using Plug until they fix themselves.
I sent them an email, thank you for your time.
Wow, that sounds super frustrating! It’s such a pain when transactions keep failing, especially after spending so much on fees. Have you checked if there are any issues with Plug’s service or if maybe your wallet settings need a little tweaking?
I’m talking to someone from Plug, and it hasn’t helped yet, but I’m staying positive.
ok is the plug youre talking to from the team?
Yes, I’m conversing with them through their chat on their support website with someone named Occen. We haven’t got anywhere yet, but I’m happy to have someone trying, especially on a holiday weekend. (I think he’s EU) He told me I didn’t have enough gas but I did, if you look closely in Etherscan you see I deposited $20 worth of eth(0.0055178).
If anyone here knows how to read ethereum-blockchain and would like to take a look, here is my Plug wallet’s ETH Address on Etherscan: 0xA0Bf39F216180549B2f83c41ABD148Be64b0a240
Thank you all for your support it means a lot, I wanted ckUSDC so add more liquidity to my ICP/ckUSDC pool on ICPSwap. I had only used ck-Bridge one time previous to this attempt, and it was using my MetaMask wallet in conjunction with ICPSwap. Something was buggy this time and instead of being patient, I sent my USDC to my Plug wallet and tried to achieve the bridge through their desktop wallet. This in turn put my USDC in a weird situation on the Ethereum blockchain. I’ve been patient now, just waiting so I don’t waste more ETH on gas, -$26 by now, ETH is cool but ICP is so much better and it’s not even close.
Since you mentioned that you already deposited some ETH, it’s worth double-checking the gas settings in your wallet to ensure they’re set appropriately for the current network conditions. Sometimes, even if you have enough ETH, the gas price might need to be adjusted to get your transaction processed.
If you’re comfortable, you could also share your Etherscan transaction link in the support chat. That way, Occen can take a closer look at the specific transaction and see if there’s anything unusual.
I sent him the transaction already, also Plug doesn’t let you adjust the gas fees, not that I know of.
Hello @yanmar_jr has your issue being fixed by now?
No, unfortunately, it hasn’t.
I could reproduce the problem and reached out to the plug team.
