No we will not make a conference. What we need now is proof of concept, actual functional code proving what the tech is capable of. Wait until you have solid projects to get behind and then there is something to promote.
There was nothing being done with ICP CC, this is not something to be distraught at. The Dao did nothing, there was no code, no ticket purchasing software or whatever. Zero lines of code. Just lots of talking.
This is not something that @borovan or myself triggered. Everyone that is complaining that this isn’t fair, should maybe have purchased one or two tokens and locked them. If as many people as you are claiming were really interested in the “established brand” why didnt you have the faith to participate?
Anyway the ICP CC DAO is no more. Swampies will have a solid meaning and will be of benefit to the IC as a whole.

The moral of this story is, if you believe in something, support it! Don’t just be a gas bag.
If not someone else will come along and will transform dead DAOs into something that benefits the community and you have zero right to complain.

One little correction. We have every right to complain.
Other than that it is telling how you and Adam enjoy attacking communities and watching good devs be pushed out of an ecosystem because you got lucky early on in life.
Must have forgotten what it is like to struggle with real world commitments since then. Sad to see but not uncommon.

Not sure what part of that you didnt understand. I do however understand why the person who created the proposal did it and have offered an interesting use case for what used to be a dead DAO with no code.

I think you have 0 understanding of what ICPCC DAO is about. There is no point in writing software if it doesn’t serve a purpose. ICPCC DAO is not about writing dead code, it’s about organizing conferences and bringing people together in time of crisis when they need to. Because Web3 is tough.
When you say there is nothing being done with ICP CC, are you talking about the first event that gathered 150+ builders in the middle of the bear market or the second even that gathered 20+ meetups around the world for a 9h stream all while ICP CC has been actively pushed back? Or maybe you’re talking about the biggest airdrop to date of the ecosystem?
As to why I haven’t bought more, I don’t have millions to throw around, my bank account is almost empty, after 3 years in the ICP ecosystem, as it should be. That’s what you get when you refuse to play power games.
As for the complaints, I have none, I’m a proud member of SWAMP DAO, or whatever you want to call it, I’m ready for the party.

Lol millions. I think you could have bought 51% with about $300 at one point. You just didn’t care.

This will bring probably be the most memorable DAO as it will help test the marketplace. NFTs that become tradeable creatures in one of the first games on the IC. There is no malicious intent here.
If we get IC where it should be, I’ll happily throw a party for everyone to attend.
