Your desire to craft a narrative that Motoko DAO is the problem, is really interesting 
the problem is icp adoption imo. i see no issue with teams getting paid to build products that might get icp adopted. openchat is a fantastic dapp and more work done on it is good. i also see no issues with neurons being dissolved to pay the team, the tactfulness of letting a 6-month neuron accrue rewards and splitting parts to dissolve for runway seems like ideal strategy to me. they have an 8-year neuron to keep the dapp funded with cycles should runway run out.
i think ~ 2.3 years of runway is, like, a long time in this eco lol. i suppose this is a good place to mention that kongswap has less than a year of runway with their current burn rate, i assume the 92 weeks in ur report is extrapolating from the mean team pay since genesis, but their last prop asked for 50k icp for one quarter and they have 160k liquid icp in their treasury (no neurons).
I agree with this - had ICP performed better, every SNS would have abundantly more runway to work with as the dollar value of their ICP / treasury increased.
If this was the strategy and it was openly planned, I’d agree.
However, you can observe the proposals to find that it was stated there was “more than enough” runway for the next 2 years, and that the neuron was aimed at obtaining influence over the NNS, and accrue voting rewards, rather than paying salaries.
However, just slightly over one year, the neuron had to be split and dissolved, twice, to provide runway - when ICP was at a higher point that the creation of the neurons.
I’m sure you’d also agree that the notion to remove liquidity from LP to provide runway for the team is catastrophic as well.
The last 2-4 years have gone by very quickly in my opinion.
Yes, this is calculated from inception of SNS to present day, referencing all payments distributed.
I believe their current outflow should decrease from now on, given two employees recently left.
However, I agree that we should be looking at every SNS and thinking about this type of thing.
What will happen to an SNS when the treasury dries up?
How will cycles be paid, given most don’t generate a profit.
Will development continue given a salary can no longer be paid, or will the token allocations given to the teams suffice?

yes, much of this ecosystem is in dire straits. you are right that 2 years can go by fast. are you proposing something along the lines of, for example, the openchat team being paid less, or simply raising awareness on this topic? because if it is the prior, i would disagree. i am in favour of a blitz development rush for adoption over frugality while we slowly bleed out.
Im not proposing anything, and more so, this wasn’t directed at any project - I included them all (excluding Adam’s play toys & projects).
I just think this is something we need to be aware of, and SNS Voters need to be more critical on.
I’m curious if the community would find value in me resuming SNS Due Diligence, as were linked above.
So let me understand what you are saying. Openchat got ICP from investors to use as runway and develop their platform. Instead of letting it sit in ICP they used staking to increase the value and did it strategically so it can still be used as runway.
And somehow you are trying to use that as critic. Saying it is bad. When it fact it is smart thing to do. What you are saying is so wrong in every way I can’t believe it.
And I said it was my last post but your information on kong is also very wrong. In fact the whole thing is wrong and it is propaganda trying to get people not to look at you taking motoko treasury.
You say there is motoko social app. Where is the dao proposal for that. Did you build it? I can’t think of a bigger waste of dao money. Motoko is nft and you say there is social app. That is crazy.

The openchat team increase the value of their runway very smartly, and this person now is saying that is bad. It is crazy.
And I also see the propaganda clearer. There is no proposal for the motoko social or these other things. The person is taking the treasury for themselves and using it for doing whatever they want without the dao voting on it.
He wants to blame other sns dao so you will not look at this. But it is so clear. Just look everyone at the motoko proposals. It is nothing but taking money from the treasury and it was nowhere to agree what they build.
So, no, you aren’t reading the forum thoroughly, and are tying your personal emotions to it. “In retrospect” means the work is done, then payment is requested - the DAO can reject these proposals easily should they choose. I appreciate you making your intentions so transparent

Show us the proposal where the dao agreed to build this “motoko social”.
Who is building it and how much has it cost the dao.
The DAO approved the funding proposal in retrospect after the initial work was done - which the DAO could have easily rejected had $MOTOKO neurons decided they didn’t want to fund it.
It has cost the DAO ~2000$.
In contrast, your beloved Openchat will spend 177,000$+ over the next quarter.

It is so funny that someone would try this propaganda to bring eyes away from them taking from motoko treasury and now we can see it all so clearly.
They use the motoko treasury as there bank account taking more and more to do things that nobody wants. And now they try to write these things about other dao, when they are the ones doing it the most. It is here for everyone to see so clearly.

As repeatedly stated, the funding requests occur AFTER the work is complete.

I do not think the proposal exists. I canot find it. They are using the motoko treasury as there personal bank. Unbelievable.
