Paid24/7 a web3 WeChat Pay on Telegram

paid24/7 is a Telegram mini app for remittance payments.

Project highlights

Paid24/7 bring global remittance & donation services to NGOs for Charity Services, providing cost-free money transfers for charitable work.

Web3 advantages

paid24/7 is a Telegram Mini dApp leveraging stablecoins (mainly USDT), providing global cross boarder payments and Swiss neo-banking to NGOs and its members.

How is it built

paid24/7 has a frontend developed in REACT, which runs completely on the ICP infrastructure (the mini app for Telegram). The backend is in Motoko/node and we have also integrated the access via Internet Identity on the mini app.

Internet Computer superpowers

Internet Identity is a great technology to manage user authentication, although unfortunately from the mini app on Telegram we still have to open a page on the browser, to perform the authentication (and then be able to return to the mini app). We also firmly believe that ICP can and should become one of the main partners of Telegram, to host the hundreds of thousands of mini apps, of the TON developer ecosystem.

Go-To-Market strategy

We recently signed a partnership agreement with OikosInvest Foundation and The Lutheran World Federation to bring paid24/7 cross-border payments technology to 70 million believers.

Monetization

Since our project aims to serve the most disadvantaged segments of the population, the so-called unbanked, the goal is to leave most of the services free of charge. However, users from the “Western world”, if they find the app of their interest, will be able to subscribe to paid24/7.

Status of the project

In March we completed the PoC (to verify the feasibility of integrating the ICP stack into a mini app).

Future Plans

We will apply for the next grant, to become the flagship mini app on Telegram, powered by ICP. The next integration will be banking stack integration, to provide users with IBAN and a virtual debit card.
