New Node Provider Proposals

Proposal #136123 — Zack | CodeGov

Vote: Adopted
Reason
The proposal is correct the NP id xv5l6 belongs to Paul, has 0 nodes and the same neuron 10891741756189183677 was used as with the add NP proposal back in 2024-03-12. The motivation makes perfect sense.

Hey everyone,

I am submitting a proposal to set Gen-1.1 rewards for my 38 [1] nodes located in im1, Isle of Man. These nodes have now been fully installed and are ready to join the network, following their transfer from Atlanta and Marseille to the Isle of Man.

Please find the necessary information regarding my nodes under the new remuneration structure.

  • Self-Declaration Link: Blue Ant LLC
  • Node Count: 38 under the new remuneration structure
  • Data Center: im1
  • Node Deployment Confirmation: Two nodes have been deployed with IPv4 addresses and domain names.
  • Contact Information: Element/Matrix - @enzo.blueant:matrix.org
  • All nodes have been installed following the node provider documentation. A forum post outlining the setup process and key learnings will follow.
  • Reward type is 1.1, consistent with Proposal 136036 and further discussed in this forum post.

[1] I’m having hardware issues with four of them, hence 38 and not the full 42 originally bought from DFINITY

DFINITY Foundation has voted to REJECT proposals 136212 and 136221 due to open questions that are not yet resolved. Their late submission meant rewards were unaffected. We are open to reconsidering these proposals once these issues have been addressed. Our priority remains upholding the network’s standards for reliability, security, and transparency.

Are you able to share what open questions are not yet resolved? In what way have they not met the requirements that are currently established for node provider onboarding?

Hi everyone,

I’m Ant, and while I’m new to the ICP community, I’m not new to ICP itself. I’m an engineer by training and have worked as a technical product manager for many years. I’m also an active participant in the broader crypto space and have been closely following several projects—ICP among them.

I understand the Internet Computer is currently at its target topology, but in the meantime, I’d like to start taking steps toward contributing more actively. With that in mind, I’m sharing this post to express my intention to become a node provider once ICP begins onboarding new ones. I’m particularly interested in setting up nodes in select countries across Asia.

I’ll share more details once a proposal goes live. In the meantime, here’s my linkedin if anyones wants to connect.

Thanks!
Ant

Proposal Reviews | Tim - CodeGov

Proposals 136368 & 136369
Vote: Adopt
These proposals set rewardable_nodes for node operators 5bnm2 and 2psns to 21 and 7 respectively, matching the number of nodes allocated to these node operator IDs as seen using the IC-API. The reason for the change is described in detail in the proposal summaries.

Proposals 136374 & 136375
Vote: Adopt
These proposals remove 2 node operators, both listed as DFINITY USA Research LLC (and here). These NPs are inactive and it seems fair to presume that they are no longer needed. I’ve voted pre-emptively as I may not have an opportunity to revisit this later in the voting period, but @sat @alexu @katiep or others may wish to comment if there is indeed some reason for keeping these NPs in the system.
