Excuse moi if this has been discussed before, but shouldn’t the Dfinity website and Dfinity Forum be hosted on ICP? Practice what you preach and wot not.
Yes, called a bunch of people out on zero2hero OC for being 50:50s, lmao…
Coined the term but youre welcome to use it freely. Dom and influencers like to say many blockchains are just a ledger and hist everything else offchain.
Meanwhile you got a plethora of ICP projects being 50:50.
Yes yes, we get it… cheaper? Okay… but how do you expect to drive costs down without forcing the issue.
BTC, helping to accelerate renewable energy with proof of useless work.
Brave/mozilla founder speaks about the early days of sending data in plain text instead of binary, accelerating broadband adoption… Ethereum onchain utility, clogging network adding pressure to improve transaction.
Whatabout streaming like netflix. Whatabout AI.
Brute force, drive up demand… then imrpove efficiency to increase margins when margins are tight.
ICP narrative is everything onchain… put everything onchain, and figure out how to fix whatever issues arise.
I mean you can do whatever you want, be as efficient and host offchain components… but thats not very fanboy web3 mentality.
internetcomputer.org is on-chain Yes, dfinity.org should also be moved but IIRC it was created way before the chain even existed and I suppose nobody really bothered since.
The forum is a bit more difficult. We have looked at options before, but the problem is that there is no forum software that a) runs on ICP and b) suits our needs. If there was such a thing I am pretty sure we would move there quite quickly.
dfinity.org is also hosted on-chain. You can see that by looking at the response headers of the requests: you should find a x-ic-canister-id header, which is inserted by the boundary node infrastructure. If you look at the requests for dfinity.org, you will see that the header is set to: y55q6-xqaaa-aaaam-aayoa-cai
Cool, make it. Also people should be able to easily launch websites on ICP. Say for business purposes. It could be way cheaper than current market products, and if it was easy to use people would use it to save money. Easy usecase for ICP.
