Hello everyone,
I’m excited to share the story of
CROSS,a new token project built on the Internet Computer that aims to connect multiple blockchains in a seamless, community-driven ecosystem.
It all starts on the ICP network, where we leverage the SNS to create a transparent treasury governed by a DAO. From there, a portion of the ICP raised is set aside to establish a central liquidity hub a canister that securely tracks every token lock and unlock, and emits the events our bridge needs to function.
Around that hub, we’ve pre-minted bridged versions of CROSS on Solana, BSC, Ethereum, and other EVM-compatible chains. Each chain holds its own pool of CROSS tokens backed by our reserves, allowing anyone to swap between CROSS and the chain’s native asset with minimal friction.
At the heart of the system is our off-chain relayer: a secure service that watches for lock and burn events on every supported chain, then signs and submits the corresponding mint or unlock calls on the destination chain. This ensures tokens move quickly and reliably, without relying on a centralized exchange.
But CROSS is more than just a bridge token. We’re introducing ‘pool staking’, where anyone who provides liquidity not only earns a share of the swap and bridge fees, but also collects ICP staking rewards and gains governance voting power in the DAO. In this way, liquidity providers become active participants in shaping the future of CROSS.
All fees generated by the liquidity pools flow back into the community: a majority is distributed as ICP staking rewards to those who stake in the pool, while the remainder supports ongoing development, marketing, and ecosystem growth through the DAO treasury.
Now, I’m looking for collaborators to help bring this vision to life. Whether you have experience writing Motoko canisters, building secure bridge relayers, crafting smart contracts on Solidity or Rust, or designing compelling user interfaces, your expertise can make CROSS stronger.
If you’re interested in contributing—whether through code, security audits, governance design, or just by sharing feedback—please join the conversation. Let’s build a truly multi-chain token that benefits everyone who takes part.
