Is Caffeine getting more expensive recently?!?

I bought 100 credits recently, required a handful of changes, and now down to 32 credits.
I don’t know the math between money, credits, prompts, etc., but I’m almost certain that 100 credits lasted me much longer a couple of weeks ago, compared to the 100 credits I used last week, and certainly MUCH longer than the 100 credits I bought yesterday. 2 weeks ago I was really pleased with the progress I could make using Caffeine AI, but it now seems like Caffeine AI is using an algorithm to determine where users’ breakpoint might be ~ in terms of, how much are they willing to spend … I hope it isn’t based on whether they feel a user has invested so much in a project that they are effectively locked in until their project is complete, so lets maximize their cost

I’m hoping I’m just being paranoid

Yes, there’s a bad bout of that going around. I can’t imagine why. But it does seem to be contagious.

I wouldnt dig into it too much. I would just ask yourself are you happy with the product or not. And if not just shop around. If you delve too deep you might get answers.

Question is…

do you really want them?

Because the underlying model was downgraded to DeepSeek-V4 Flash, the reasoning capability is noticeably lower than before.

Don’t say that because it feels more expensive :sob:

I’ll get over it. I probably should slow down using it anyway. Golf might be a less expensive hobby lol

It really depends, mate.

You can bring your own rum,

or you can buy it at the venue.

I’m a guy who brings his own rum, mate.

Try Claude code + ICP skills; you can do a huge amount with a subscription at the same price.

What’s ICP Skills? Is that a tutorial program to develop skills in writing motoko ?? I can’t do that, way to difficult

Aye mate.

The rum is right here

Don’t tell anyone we told you though,

Stashed it all in the brig we did!

It seems Caffeine consumes 7 credits per prompt.
Lovable 0.8 per reply (what to add to app). If direct prompt to build than 2 credits. It still failed to fix admin child move buttons, BUT main thing is its cheaper, no extra cost (cycles or monthly subscription). So far have not actually paid anything to them, still they give 5 credits per day, 20 max per month?

Anyways, CaffeineAI is not made to bring adoption to ICP, private for profit after all. What we should demand is them to remove ICP infinity logo from their X name. Dont deserve it.

Interesting is that, if others can make building with AI cheap, why Dominic added that huge cost to it, is it because He thinks builders save some money, but we dont see from where. Anyways, ICP token is still overvalued  To fix it, CaffeineAI should be non profit, offer low cost building to attract people, cycle cost is still kinda pain even with simple app. I dont know, too many problems with everything.

7 credits per prompt now, mate?

They think we got that just lyin’ around?

Yea but, no one likes building on bezos, or building on Sergey Brin. ICP is basically all we have

Welcome, ICP

Caffeine routes every request to the right model based on cost, load, and difficulty.

Has anyone tested it, how much it cut cost when we use Claude Code Coding Agent in CaffeineAI. And next question will be, does Caffeine still hide cycle amount query requests, i know it allows only one of app canister cycle query, but other is hidden.
They add stuff, but never explain properly.

I think you mean anybody, mate.

I’m sure they’ve tried it.

Certainly everybody has not.

Definitely not nobody.

Maybe somebody…

If anybody has tried it, do let Mr. Henn know.

I dont care if its anyone, everybody, nobody. somebody or anybody. I just want to know if its worth building using Caffeine and connecting it to Claude Code. There are many questions, but im not going to waste money on testing and figuring it out myself.

That seems rather foolish indeed.

Why on earth would anybody do that?

Do you use AI to generate those replies or is something wrong with you!!!

oh Mr. Henn, it seems we’ve struck the wrong chord.

rest assured, we agree with you, mate.

We really do this time.

Our word, is gold it is.

Good job, you keep spamming and making sure that no one sees questions that was asked. I end my day knowing that spambot blocked us from useful info, AGAIN.

Ok, so I know that last time I was wrong. I thought Dionysus was going to help Lorimer troubleshoot his domain, but he actually purchased jupiterfaucet.com and turned it into some kind of practical joke.

But I think this time for sure, Dionysus is telling the truth.

There’s no way he’s lying this time. Right?

That’s right, mate.

Our word is gold it is.

No worries Mr. Henn.

Let’s steer the ship back on course:

He meant anybody, But we don’t judge.

And don’t forget Mr. Henn,

You can always file a complaint,
