Icterminal.com: a new on-chain intelligence platform for the Internet Computer

We are introducing the next version of icterminal: a professional on-chain analytics and intelligence environment built specifically for the Internet Computer.

icterminal has provided public ICP analytics since 2024. The platform is now expanding into a more complete terminal designed for researchers, analysts, ecosystem teams, node providers, and businesses that need to investigate on-chain activity in a more structured way.

The terminal is built on historical ICP ledger data extending back to network genesis and currently includes 187 on-chain metrics, wallet-level research tools, network screening and configurable alerts.

Multi-metric charting and research workspace

The Charts environment provides an interactive workspace for analysing ICP on-chain data across multiple time resolutions.

Available metric coverage includes:

  • Network activity and address growth
  • Transaction counts, transfer volume, transfer-size statistics, and large-transfer activity
  • Holder distribution by balance threshold and balance range
  • Top-holder concentration
  • Dormant supply, supply age bands, long-term holder and short-term holder supply
  • Market valuation and profitability metrics, including MVRV, MVRV Z-Score, Realized Price, Realized Cap, NVT, Supply in Profit/Loss, NUPL, and realized profit/loss
  • Coin-age and dormancy metrics, including CDD, Binary CDD, Average Dormancy, Liveliness, Dormancy Flow, and revived supply
  • Tokenomics metrics for minting, burning, net inflation, cumulative mint/burn, and total supply
  • Exchange balances, inflows, outflows, netflows, deposits, withdrawals, and large exchange transactions
  • Node-provider balances, reward flows, retention, reward age, reward velocity, and related indicators

Users can combine multiple metrics in the same workspace, select compatible resolutions, use independent left and right axes, switch between normal, logarithmic, and percentage scales.

The charting environment also supports custom expressions. This makes it possible to create derived series directly from available metrics.

Available chart indicators include:

  • Simple and exponential moving averages

  • Rolling Z-Score

  • Percentage change

  • Standard-deviation bands

  • Percentile rank

  • Rolling highs and lows

  • All-time highs and lows

  • Distance from highs and lows

Rankings: screen the network for meaningful activity

The Rankings environment is designed to surface the addresses and transactions that matter within a selected period.

It currently includes ten research screens:

  • Large Transfers β€” rank the largest ICP transactions by period and transaction-size filters
  • Net Flows β€” identify the strongest wallet accumulation or distribution over a selected period
  • Top Receivers β€” rank wallets by incoming ICP volume
  • Top Senders β€” rank wallets by outgoing ICP volume
  • Dormant Reactivations β€” surface wallets moving again after more than six months, one year, three years, or since the genesis era
  • Wallet Emptying β€” identify addresses that materially reduce their balance, including reductions above selected thresholds
  • New Whales β€” track wallets crossing 10k, 100k, or 1M ICP thresholds
  • Whale Reductions β€” monitor addresses falling below select ed whale thresholds or reducing holdings
  • Exchange Flows β€” rank labeled exchange deposits and withdrawals
  • Node Provider Flows β€” investigate inflows and outflows involving labeled node-provider addresses

Each screen can be refined by date range, transaction count, amount filters, direction, threshold, inactivity period, and ranking depth.

Wallet and transaction intelligence

The Intelligence environment provides a dedicated research page for individual ICP addresses.

For a selected wallet and time range, users can review:

  • Historical balance evolution
  • Current balance and activity overview
  • Inbound and outbound transaction volume
  • Net flow and fees paid
  • Transaction counts and unique counterparties
  • Largest, average, median, and smallest inbound/outbound transactions
  • Most-interacted counterparties by volume and transaction count
  • Interactive transaction-flow visualisation
  • Full transaction history with pagination, sorting, and filters
  • Available address labe ls for exchanges, node providers, and other identified entities

Monitoring and alerting

The terminal also includes configurable alerts for both network metrics and individual wallets.

Metric alerts can be created for supported metrics and resolutions using threshold conditions.

Wallet alerts can monitor: transaction amounts (incoming, outgoing, or combined) from specific counterparties or all addresses and balance thresholds.

Alerts can be delivered through Slack and Telegram.
