Hello folks,
The icp-cli repo is now public: GitHub - dfinity/icp-cli: The command-line interface for the ICP SDK.
This tool is still under active development and is intended to eventually replace dfx.
For now you will need to build it locally to try it out: We’re still making some changes before releasing a first beta version.
If you’re adventurous enough to try it out we’d be very happy to get your feedback, it will help prioritize our efforts.

7 letters will be inconvenient in the console, I preferred 3 ‘dfx’ maybe just ‘icp’?
The repo is called icp-cli but the binary will just be icp (I don’t think anyone wants to type 7 characters, specially not with a - in it 
Glad were getting brand recognition in the terminal. 
Just so I understand, eventually there will be a dfx update that will replace the binary with a stable rebranded version?
We were thinking you would install a different package for the new tool instead.
dfx and icp-cli work differently enough that I imagine they will coexist for some time to give folks time to migrate their projects over.
