I sent DCD from NNS to ICP swap to wrong canister id

Hi, I had 99644 DCD tokens in my NNS, I wanted to send them to icp swap to swap back to icp token, but i sent them to this canister and now cannot locate my tokens…

It is a lot of money and I am concerned they are lost now. Please help.

You sent your coins to a decide AI canister. They control the canister. You should ask decide AI on their telegram or which ever is their most actively used social app to get your coins back. Their socials can be found at the bottom of their website https://decideai.xyz/

Im sure they will be kind enough to transfer you your coins back

Thanks Frederico, makes sense. I will try that now. Yes, i accidentally sent it to their canister, so they should be able to return it. Thanks again.

@ICPSwap can you please assist here. I have contacted Decide AI via telegram and discord however no response from them. It may be a time difference here (I am in Sydney Australia). Are you able to offer any assistance as the DCD tokens were sent to the Decide AI canister on icpswap. Thank you in advanced.

Be careful, the message above is most likely a scammer

I would just wait for a response from the team, but you transferred them to the ledger which is controlled by the SNS, so I’m not sure if it’s going to be easy to retrieve them…

It should be possible for Decide AI to send the money. They will likely need to create a proposal that transfers the tokens from the canister to his wallet but definitely possible to do. It will probably be a little costly to transfer because proposals cost money to create but yes it’s possible.

Hi Frederico, I thought I would give an update. You are on the money, after speaking a representative of Decide AI on open chat, they have informed me that I had accidentally sent my funds to the Governance DAO (not even sure what that means to be honest) and I would need to create a proposal to request for the funds to be transferred back. I am not sure how to do this but i have asked the agent if they can recommend anyone that can assist me with that process (explaining i am happy to pay someone to assist me with the proposal). I just wanted to thank you for the info and advice mate.

you’re welcome mate. I can appreciate all the new terminology is confusing AF. I would’ve thought that the developers at Decide AI would know how to raise a proposal. It’s good practice for them since they will likely do it more in the future if they haven’t already done it much already. Perhaps someone from DFINITY can also help in creating a proposal. I just saw this https://proposals.network . Usually you have to create a proposal via the CLI tool ( command line ) but it looks like you can login to a UI made by a community member and submit a proposal now which is cool. When you create one, make sure you pre-warn the guys at Decide AI, they likely have a large vote share and can influence the vote a lot so that you get your funds back. Let me know how it goes :slight_smile:

Yeah I would not know where to start. I created another post on here seeking help in creating a proposal, lets see how that goes. I have asked DCDAI team to help with the proposal, but they said they are busy with development at the moment, so i can appreciate they are busy. It would have made it easier for me, but i really appreciate your help and info. People like you are worth gold mate for dinasours like me.
