First I was using my Passkey and i had the following message popping up "
“Something went wrong during authentication. The authenticating service was notified, and you may close this page.”"
I started reading about the issue and it was a known one. I got very frustrated, because I have money in this account using ICP swap wallet. So i tried different things even i tried my recovery phrase which I am sure that I have written down correctly, but I kept getting “There is no associated recovery phrase with this account” which is absolute bullshit, because i know that it popped when creating the account and i wrote it down.
Then in anger i deleted my Passkey and tried to set a new one and soon i realized i did a huge mistake, because i have accessed my Identity on different device just this one.
However i then tried to create a new identity and i am getting " Operation canceled : The interaction with your security device was canceled or timed out. Please try again."
So the more I try the more I understand that obviously the whole system doesn’t work properly and now I have lost access to the Identity, I have lost access to my money and I don’t know if anything can be done to recover from the mistake i made by delete and trying to set a new PassKey.
So anyone from support, please assist I know i made a mistake, but the issue also lies from the system as well. I know my identity number, i have my phrase, please provide me with a solution, i want to access my Identity!
The error i get for the recovery phrase is “Could not use recovery phrase: No recovery phrase: there is no recovery phrase associated with this identity. Cancel and recover another way.”
I delete my passkey from the phone thinking that i can set a new one because maybe the old one is bugged, but soon realized that this is not possible.
serioudly, if you have your ID number AND those 24 seed words, you probably only made one spelling error like blue to blur or boy to box et cetera. just fiddle!
