ic-py(https://github.com/rocklabs-io/ic-py/) is a great ic python sdk, but as far as I know, the Rocklabs team has been disbanded and there is no longer a team to maintain the library, hate to see such a great tool buried!
Unfortunately, DFINITY does not have the resources to pick up projects that are no longer maintained by their initial developers. However, there is another Python CDK called Kybra developed by Demergent Labs.

I know this cdk, but sdk is also important
Unfortunately ic-py is not a CDK, it is an agent. Kybra is not an agent…in fact Kybra could really use a well-maintained Python agent for the improvements we have planned.
Demergent Labs is hoping someone will pick up and maintain ic-py.
Can you guys maintain ic-py? Maintain a working version, like agent js

It’s disappointing that ic-py is no longer maintained. It would be great if the community or an independent developer could step in to keep it alive, similar to the way agent-js is maintained.
Just seeing this now. Do you have any specific things that are missing? I also love the python agent, I agree it would be great if it was maintained

FYI, I am in contact with @C-B-Elite now regarding ic-py and possible future maintenance. related post: Let's Learn from the Odin.fun Hack - Preventing Attack Vectors - #41 by C-B-Elite
I’m taking over the ongoing development and maintenance of ic-py. If you come across any security vulnerabilities related to ic-py, please report them to: czgelite@gmail.com

Work is expected to begin in early May, prioritizing security issues. I am currently reviewing the relevant code of ic-py.
Hi @C-B-Elite
Did you already start work on ic-py, and if so, are you using the original GitHub repo?
Highly interested in any progress and activities!!
Yes, I’ve been working on it for a while now and have already completed multiple upgrades to ic-py. I expect to release a new version on PyPI within the next two weeks.
