The current BOOM DAO team stole the community’s money and has lost all legitimacy. This is unacceptable.
DFINITY may not be responsible for the fraud itself, but the community has the power — and the duty — to fix this.
What we should do:
- Clone the BOOM DAO project (all the code is public and open).
- Create a new, clean BOOM DAO, with trustworthy people in charge.
- Transfer the tokens to the new DAO, leaving the bad actors behind.
The people who stole from the community should have zero power moving forward. If they want influence again, they can buy tokens with the stolen funds — on the open market, like everyone else.
This is how we protect decentralization and show that scams won’t win here.

As much as I love the sentiment, I have some reservations.
If their code is any good, why have they not produced anything of value?
Please don’t call it BOOM anymore, literally anything else would be fine.
What is to stop the DEV team who just minted a ton of tokens from transferring their own? Or minting more?
This would just double my nightmare and PTSD.
Mimic > Boom DAO. It’s a toolkit to write complex games, and we have a better logo. It just needs people to help with it, write tests, documentation etc.

The goal now is simple: discredit BOOM DAO completely.
This could even become a textbook example of how meme tokens can backfire:
BOOM STEAL. BOOM RUG. BOOM LOST. BOOMBUM. BOOM SH*T.
They’ve lost all credibility — they’re done.
But the best path forward is to create a new DAO with transparent rules and governance.
Mint new tokens for everyone who invested in the original BOOM DAO.
Build a clear roadmap and fund real developers based on proof of work.
Ensure that the original bad actors have zero control — only DAO governance should decide the future.
The current logo really not good at all:person_facepalming:
I don’t think there is anything to clone.
Also anything meaningful to clone either.
