Recognizing the significant potential of innovations like Coffee AI to enhance the Internet Computer ecosystem, we propose a strategic adjustment to the ICP economic model. Given the current challenges in achieving ICP deflation through traditional DApp burning mechanisms, we suggest introducing a tiered payment system for advanced features within foundational services.
By making basic functions free while requiring payment of ICP for premium services, we can stimulate organic demand for ICP as a native utility token.The paid ICP is used to provide fuel for the basic functions of DAPP, and the excess is invested in black holes to accelerate deflation. This approach not only diversifies the token’s use cases but also aligns with the principles of sustainable growth. As more foundational services are developed, increased ICP burning for value-added features will accelerate deflation, creating a positive feedback loop that boosts token value and investor confidence.
We believe this model can simultaneously enhance user adoption, strengthen the ICP’s position in the digital economy, and provide tangible returns to investors. We invite the Dfinity Foundation and community stakeholders to explore this proposal, fostering a more vibrant and rewarding Internet Computer ecosystem for all.
