Boundary nodes and networking

Boundary nodes sit behind a URL and the web traffic is directed to the closest node on the internet. How is this accomplished? Can someone point me to any resource? Is this some wild card coupled with anycast? Thanks in advance

Hey @ghostwhoowalks

Users are directed to a close by boundary node through geo-location-based DNS loadbalancing. This means that when you make the DNS lookup to get the IP address behind an IC domain (e.g., nns.ic0.app), the nameserver will respond with IP addresses of HTTP gateways that are within your region.

You can read more about the IC edge infrastructure on the learn hub: https://learn.internetcomputer.org/hc/en-us/articles/34212818609684-ICP-Edge-Infrastructure
