The funding principle for this was: lcy37-tabhk-ipcep-mt7ow-wdya7-bypzi-fy3hz-fp3sp-laakc-u3dqy-gae
Does anyone recognize that pid?
The proposal that changes the min and max dissolve delay is a Manage Nervous System Parameters proposal and would have occurred in a previous proposal. If you have enough voting power to execute a majority decision on a proposal that changes the max dissolve delay, and especially if you also change the min dissolve delay in the same proposal (I donât know if that happened here yet because Iâm on a plane and canât investigate), then you are in a position to create a new neuron and set it to the parameters without anyone else knowing about it. You can then submit a proposal to mint tokens or transfer a treasury and you will be the only person who can vote on that proposal. While others can still change their neuron parameters to match, ballots for specific proposals are set the moment the proposal goes live. This means that for the specific proposal only the people who had properly configured neurons are on the ballot.
This was the entire point of the original post of this forum thread to explain this attack vector so DFINITY could comment and take action. I raised this issue in several other forum posts previously, but @borovan provided the clear roadmap on how to execute this attack because he actually did it. He didnât succeed. I canât even tell if he ever intended to succeed or if he was just flexing, but whoever was willing to follow this roadmap took it to the next level.
Not really sure and also donât have time to get involved in it more, but thatâs why I hope DFINITY (@Jan @lara @diegop âŚ) could have a look
I fully agree on all three points.
This is false and has been explained to you many time. BoomDAO was created by a dev who goes by ICP Maximalist and he started a chat group on telegram that he called ICP Maximalist Network. It was a lively community filled with great people.
Some members of the community, organized by me, decided that we could do a good job creating a NNS known neuron and we originally named it ICPMN. Once all the politics started, Max decided he didnât want to be a part of the group any more and he resigned. We changed the name to Synapse and never looked back. Max started BoomDAO after this split and Synapse has nothing to do with it.
You have been provided this information countless times over the last 3 years and yet you still try to make this claim. Itâs dishonest.
Look at them agreeing with each other on things they are defending
Now that M1c0 and W3nCel have once again made their point, about NOTHING!.
Okay so now who will take accountability? or are we just âagreeingâ here?
Seems like WPb has been defending BOOM since October 2023
Iâm not sure this is anyoneâs fault but the people who committed the exploit. Pointing fingers takes away from the issue at hand
read above so you can know this is not the first time its happening here.
You seem to be pushing a narrative. People are allowed to talk about projects launching on icp. If I remember correctly Jerry banfield backed boom dao massively and promoted it on his YouTube.
The point now is we can trace the funding source to have a clear picture of who was behind the exploit and hold the right people accountable for this. We have a chance to work together if we can stop bickering about people tweeting in support of early icp ecosystem projects.
No. Hes been manipulating me for a while.
By giving me subtle shout outs and fake commendation in his posts. Trying to earn my trust via friendly interactions. Meanwhile the rest of his crew show their true disdain for me.
He even gave me a shout out in his little youtube video.
These are manipulative things that con-artists and sociopaths do.
Its not going to work anymore.
It really is a shame to see you distracting from a chance to come together to find the perpetrators of this exploit.
Why canât we both put our personal bias towards eachother to the side and work together to follow the money trail? I am trying to trace the funds lets work together to get to the true person behind the exploit.
Okay, then I will continue to trace the funds to help find the people behind this. I will be posting the addresses I find so others can track them if they wish.
Please get to the bottom of this if you can. Im no good at block exploring.
I am no expert either that is why I will be posting here to get more eyes on wallets that are connected to this.
