By order of the Central Committee
It is 1993. The Union is gone, the state is bankrupt, the kiosks are full and the militia is asleep. In five forgotten cities in the wild east, a new generation of entrepreneurs has discovered free-market capitalism, mostly by taking other people’s free markets.
Krasnograd '93 is a mafia game you play in your browser, set in a living 3D Soviet city, running fully on-chain on the Internet Computer. The Party is now recruiting comrades for the closed beta, and has graciously decided that you may apply. (Applications are voluntary. Refusals will be noted.)

How to enlist
The beta is invite-only. Reply to this thread or send me a DM and you will receive an invite code. No queue, no bribes. Well, small bribes.
Then:
- Go to https://citxg-6iaaa-aaaai-aya2q-cai.icp0.io/play/ and press Report for duty, comrade.
- Log in with Internet Identity.
- Enter your code, build your comrade in the dressing room and take the oath.
- The Party assigns you a city. Try not to get arrested on the first day.
Tip: put the game on your phone’s home screen. It runs like an app, and it can send you a notification when someone robs you or your energy is full again.
The rules (simplified for the proletariat)
- Climb from Gopnik to Pakhan. Ten ranks, from street punk to godfather. Every job earns experience.
- Energy is your currency of labour. Rob kiosks, steal cars, forge papers or raid a coal train. Every job costs energy, and the militia does wake up sometimes.
- Steal from each other. Pick pockets and burgle flats. Your mattress is not as safe as you think; the Party bank is.
- Smuggle. Buy vodka, jeans and VCRs cheap in one city and sell them dear in another. Take the train or buy a jet. Customs may take an interest in your luggage.
- Join a family. Build a family house, invite comrades, and carry a crest.
- Shoot, if you must. Bullets come from the factory. The hospital is clean, mostly.
- Get thrown in jail, get broken out. Comrades break each other out of the cell. Good comrades do, anyway.
- Each city has its own job that you can only do there: a potato still in Novo-Potatovsk, a fishing boat in Port Sardinsk, and so on.
- A round lasts 8 weeks. At the end, the best comrades are paid in Baksy, after a review week in which the Party checks for cheating.

Rubles and Baksy: know the difference, comrade
- Rubles (₽) are the street money of a round. You rob, smuggle and gamble for them, and spend them on train tickets, bullets, a better flat, a factory or a night at the casino. Rubles in your pocket or under your mattress can be stolen; the Party bank keeps them safe. When the round ends, the rubles go with everything else, and every comrade starts again from zero. Rubles never leave the game and cannot be bought.
- Baksy are the lasting reward: a real token on the Internet Computer. You can’t steal them, win them at the casino or buy them. You earn them only with the rank you reach and your places on the boards when a round ends. The Party checks the results in a review week before it pays out. Your Baksy stay yours when the world starts over.
In short: rubles are how you play, Baksy are what you keep. And Baksy are a reward, not an investment: the Party promises glory, not a price
Fair play
One person, one comrade. Bots and multi-accounts are caught and sent to the salt mines (banned). Report anyone who sends you unacceptable telegrams.
It’s a beta
Things will break, numbers will change and the Party may revise the five-year plan without notice.
What comes next is up to you
If enough comrades sign up, Krasnograd grows: more cities, more jobs, more ways to ruin your neighbour. Ideas, tips and complaints are very welcome. Post them here, or throw them into the wishing fountain in town square, where the Party reads every coin.
Keep the lights on
Krasnograd runs on cycles, and cycles don’t grow on birch trees. If you enjoy the game and want to keep it running, send ICP to the Party’s treasury or top up the game’s canisters with cycles directly: https://citxg-6iaaa-aaaai-aya2q-cai.icp0.io/support/ . Every ruble goes to the canisters, not to the commissar’s dacha. Probably.
For the curious, the world lives in cpsrs-tqaaa-aaaai-aya2a-cai and the accounts in cuxnx-jiaaa-aaaai-ayayq-cai.
As we say in Krasnograd: “Under capitalism, man exploits man. Under our system, it is exactly the other way around.”
See you in the queue, comrade. ☭
