Amplify V2: The SocialFi Expansion
About Amplify
Amplify is a SocialFi platform on ICP that lets projects and creators increase engagement on their social media posts by rewarding users with $ICP and specific ICRC tokens for interactions. As it stands, Version 1.0 was focused on amplifying X (X Used to be called Tweets). V2 expands this with an integration of web3 social platforms such as OpenChat and Taggr, and intends to do more in future versions.
How Amplify Works
An Amplify campaign follows a simple sequence:
- Campaign Creation: A creator creates a campaign and sets the terms for the rewards paying a small fee to the platform, rewards for users to create the campaign ($ICP or select ICRC tokens: we support $GHOST, $ICL, $CHAT, $ckETH, $ckUSDC).
- User Participation: Users log in to Amplify and participate in ongoing campaigns.
- Campaign Conclusion & Winner Selection: The campaign ends, and winners are selected by an on-chain raffle if the number of participants exceeds the designated winners for the campaign.
- Reward Redemption: Winning users claim their rewards, which they can withdraw to any wallet of their choice.
How Amplify is Built
Frontend:
TypeScript: Provides static type-checking, improving code quality.
React: Enables a dynamic and responsive user interface.
TailwindCSS: Assists in quickly styling components with a utility-first CSS framework.
Vite: Bundles and builds the Frontend with fast performance.
Backend:
TypeScript: Ensures type safety and better code maintainability.
PostgreSQL: A reliable relational database for data storage and management.
Node.js: Provides a JavaScript runtime for server-side scripting.
Adonis.js Framework: A robust backend framework to handle complex business logic.
Highlights
The architecture is secure and the design is user-friendly alongside powerful scalability for future web3 socialfi integrations.
Monetization
By collecting a platform fee of around $5 per campaign collected in $ICP, a sustained revenue model is possible.
