Hey everyone,
I have been mostly quiet for about a year now. No big announcements, no roadmap threads, no “coming soon” hype. Just building with the team. Today I want to change that, because Quokka TMM Hub has reached its testing phase and I would rather have you in it than keep talking about it.
So here is what we have been doing in silence.
How we got here
Quokka did not start as this. It started as memes and a few AI agents posting on X. That was the whole thing at first. But the more I built on ICP, the clearer it became that there was room for something much bigger than a mascot with a timeline.
So it grew. From memes, to AI agents, to a full ecosystem with trading, mining, a launchpad, governance, and a token economy that actually holds together. That journey took about a year, most of it in silence, and this is the first time the whole thing is open for people to touch.
What Quokka TMM Hub actually is
We call it “The Happiest DEX on ICP” for a reason, but the DEX was never really the point. The bigger plan was always a full ecosystem: a launchpad, trading, mining, governance, and the marketing layer around it. The DEX is the part that makes the trading competition fun and gives the tokens somewhere to live. It is a tool, not the headline.
Everything is built natively on the Internet Computer, fully on-chain, no shortcuts.
Here is what you can already test right now:
Trading, your way. You can trade the normal way with a clean interface, or you can trade with your voice. Yes, voice trading. You talk, it trades. I have not seen another DEX on any chain do this, and it feels strangely natural once you try it.
The Launchpad. This is where the ecosystem really opens up. A place to bring new tokens to life with the community involved from the start, not just another silent listing.
The Jackpot. Because a happy DEX should have a bit of luck baked in. I will let you discover how that one works yourself.
Mining. Quokka has its own mining layer that ties cycles into rewards. This is where things get interesting, and where I am going to be a little secretive on purpose. More on that below.
The DAO. Quokka is meant to belong to the people who use it. Governance is live, you can create proposals and vote, and over time the direction of the ecosystem moves into the community’s hands. QUOKKA is the governance token, and it is what gives you a real voice in where this goes.
The token economy
I care a lot about getting this part honest, because too many projects launch with the founder holding everything and call it decentralized.
Three tokens, each with a clear job:
- QUOKKA is the governance token. Total supply 88,888,888. This is the one that carries voting power in the DAO.
- LUCKY is the mining reward. Supply 77,777,777. There is no faucet for it and no pre-mine handout. It is mined, period.
- LOVE is the community and affiliate reward. Supply 33,333,333. Earned through liquidity and bringing people in, not sold.
And the part I am most serious about: more than 40 million QUOKKA, out of the 88,888,888 total, are still unminted and locked away for the NNS launch. That supply is not in my pocket. It is reserved for the decentralized launch through the NNS, so that when Quokka becomes a real community owned project, the supply is there for the community, not for me to dump.
Diamond Hands
Some of you have been here since the very beginning, from the original ICTO launch, and you never sold. You held through the quiet year while I was heads down building.
I see you, and you are not forgotten. Holders who kept their tokens from the ICTO launch are on the Diamond Hands list, and there is an airdrop reserved for you at launch. Loyalty from the early days gets rewarded. That is non negotiable.
The one feature I am not showing yet
There is a part of the mining and trading system that I am holding back for launch. I am not going to describe it here, and that is on purpose.
What I will say is this: it is a special development that, as far as I know, has never existed in the crypto space before. Not on ICP, not on any other chain. It is the kind of thing that sounds obvious in hindsight and makes you wonder why nobody did it sooner. When it goes live at launch, it will speak for itself.
Consider this your heads up that the most interesting piece is still under wraps.
On the MULTI/DEX announcement
I saw the MULTI/DEX post from @dominicwilliams, and I want to address it head on, because some people already asked me if this kills Quokka.
It does not. If anything, it makes me more excited.
A native multi-chain, order book based DEX controlled by the NNS would be a serious piece of infrastructure. But here is the thing: Quokka was never trying to be that. We are a launchpad, a mining ecosystem, a DAO, a community, and a trading playground with a personality. The DEX is just one part of that, and honestly it exists mostly to power our trading competitions.
So if MULTI/DEX ships, my plan is simple: we integrate it. Why would we compete with first class infrastructure on the same chain when we can build on top of it? Our own DEX keeps running in the meantime and does its job. The day MULTI/DEX is ready, Quokka can plug into it and give our users the best of both worlds.
Come break it
The testing phase is open to everyone. No whitelist, no gatekeeping. If you want in, here is all you do:

- Log in with Internet Identity
- Set up your wallet
- Hit the faucet and claim your free test tokens
- Start trading, with voice or the classic way
Poke at the launchpad. Chase the jackpot. Vote on a proposal in the DAO. Talk to the DEX. And please, try to break things, because that is exactly what a testing phase is for. Every bug you find now is a bug your fellow users will not hit at launch.
