The latest version of the Pocket IC client-side bindings (v6.0.0) is not compatible with the latest binaries published on GitHub at Release release-2024-11-14_03-07-base · dfinity/ic · GitHub.
Is there an easy solution identifying a compatible version between the binaries and client-side libraries? I have encountered this issue repeatedly and have been unable to resolve it independently.
It’s best to stick to the official release versions, like this one. The (bi)weekly release of IC artifacts sometimes moves ahead of the PocketIC libraries.
Thank you, @michael-weigelt, for your response. Could you confirm whether the official release of Pocket IC 7.0.0 includes the latest changes related to cycle consumption that were highlighted in the following post?
Evaluating Compute Pricing in Response to Increased Demand on the Internet Computer Protocol
Given that the change was commited three weeks ago and the PocketIC binary is only four days old, I think so.
