Proposal 136705 introduced a feature called Permissions Policy to explicitly define which web APIs can and cannot be used, in order to improve the security. Features that the app intends to utilize must be whitelisted.
The initial configuration whitelisted features such as clipboard and camera access but overlooked those required for a Ledger device: usb and hid.
A new proposal has been submitted to rectify this for Ledger device users by enabling these features in the nns-dapp.
DFINITY has decided to vote on this promptly to restore the functionality of the nns-dapp for Ledger device users.
