New Node Provider Proposals

Hi Philip,

Hope you’re doing well. I recall that you already registered a node provider principal as “Protocol16” a little while back through this proposal, which was executed successfully. The NP record is here. Any particular reason for registering an additional NP principal?

@SvenF @sat Any issue with an individual registering more than one NP principal?

@bitmoon I think the advice from @SvenF in this post gives the answer for the next step you need to take. Also worth getting feedback on the proposal details as the others suggested before formally submitting it. I agree the documentation is a bit confusing.

Thx for your comments. So what’s wrong on my proposal? Can you correct it ?

Adding my statement for completeness.

Proposal #134343 Review — Roald | Aviate Labs
Voted: REJECT
Review:

Nodes from the same provider and in the same data center should consolidate under one operator ID.

Pointing to Louise’s post for further recommendation.

You might need to correct “Li2” to “li2” (lower case) in order to match the listing of your currently active node, however I’m not a node provider or a Dfinity team member so I’ll leave it to @SvenF and others to answer further.

Voted to reject proposal 134358 as the proposal seeks to add a node provider but the same participant already has a currently registered node provider principal as shown here which was created through the successful execution of an earlier proposal. Removing the original node provider prior to adding the new one might be an option if @Protocol16 is wanting to change the name of the node provider.

Voted to reject proposal 134365 as the self-identity documents have not been added to the Internet Computer Wiki. These need to be uploaded to Node Provider Self Declarations - Internet Computer Wiki so that they will appear within the IC Wiki, as per the node provider self-declaration instructions here.

Still would be nice to have an answer.

Hey, could you please upload the files to the wiki ?

Apologies, I tried and it was under pending validation due my new account I guess, will add it back again.

Hello,
Thanks for your message.

But self-declaration is passing fine…

When saving page:

May I kindly ask one of the admin to approve my wiki page / file upload ? so like that I can avoid having my proposal to be refused.
Thank you

There are still 3 days left, I’d be inclined to vote to adopt the proposal if in the meantime the files end up being uploaded, in order to avoid a resubmission. Unless Dfinity disagrees ? @SvenF

Update :
Voted to reject proposal 134358.

Voted to reject proposal 134365.
Since by now it is clear that documents must be uploaded and accepted by admins before the submission of the proposal.

Hi again, I added the 2 files under wiki. but both files uploads and files are still under pending validation . If you have moderator role and can accept the upload of my 2 files and the edition of my wiki page (with hash), I would be really thankful.
Many thanks

@louisevelayo @SvenF can I post the updated proposal ?

Hi @bitmoon,

Thanks for your patience. Please review this page. Note that your NEW_NODE_ALLOWANCE field should be 2 for the li2 DC. And you should be using the propose-to-update-node-operator-config command on ic-admin instead of proposing to add a node operator.

You should refer to the section about adjusting the node allowance in a data center.

Please ping me in Matrix (via the main IC Node Provider group) so we can troubleshoot further on there.
