The Role
We are seeking a talented and passionate Backend / Smart Contract Developer to focus entirely on building the most secure, robust, and scalable core protocol logic. You will work closely with other engineers and developers to translate complex requirements into high-quality, high-security canister code. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and performance of the ORIGYN Protocol.
Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and core smart contracts (canisters) on the ICP.

Implement and optimize ICP canisters to facilitate secure on-chain logic, transaction processing, and decentralized data storage.

Develop high-performance APIs and backend services that interact seamlessly with our smart contracts.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Rust code.

Design and execute comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for all backend and contract logic.

Participate actively in code reviews to ensure high quality, security, and adherence to best practices.

Take full ownership of complex technical projects with a proactive and passionate approach.
Qualifications

Expertise in Rust (essential) for backend and smart contract development.

Deep understanding of blockchain and smart contract paradigms.

Proven experience with the Dfinity platform and SDK (strong requirement).

Proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js) and Bash scripting.

Strong knowledge of asymmetric cryptography principles.

Mastery of version control systems (Git).

Experience with unit testing, TDD, and code documentation (rustdoc).

Experience with containerization technologies like Docker is a big plus.

High degree of autonomy, autodidactic ability, and strong problem-solving skills.
