Hey ICP Fam :waving_hand:t5:,

We’re excited to introduce you to Fries Coin (FRYS) — a community-first memecoin on the Internet Computer that’s evolving into something much bigger: a decentralized, ICP-native NFT marketplace with real-world utility.

Born from a group of friends who love fries and blockchain, FRYS started as a fun meme project and quickly turned into a fast-growing community movement. We now have active users across OpenChat, DSCVR, Telegram, and X — and we’re building in public, for the people.

:french_fries: What We’re Building

We are currently developing the FRYS NFT Marketplace, an intuitive, high-performance platform on ICP that:

  • Supports NFT minting, listing, and trading on-chain
  • Enables real-world utility of tokens (including plans to let users buy real fries from partnered restaurants using FRYS Coin :french_fries:)
  • Will feature staking, rewards, and cross-dapp integrations
  • Pushes the narrative fun meets function in Web3
    – Will have an AI Agent Intergration in the marketplace
    This isn’t just a meme token anymore. It’s a bridge between on-chain creativity and off-chain usability, completely powered by ICP tech.

We’re a team of 10 passionate builders — backend, frontend, cybersecurity, marketing, and community experts — with over 25 years of combined experience in blockchain, Web3, Rust, Motoko, React, and technical writing. We’re based in Kenya and building full-time and part-time, with deep commitment to growing the Internet Computer in Africa and globally.

We’re seeking a DFINITY Developer Grant to:

  1. Accelerate development of the FRYS NFT Marketplace MVP
  2. Expand integrations across ICP-based tools and services
