🔥 Google Sign-In is live on Juno

Hi everyone :waving_hand:,

I’ll cross-post this release in the main Latest Juno Releases thread, but thought this one deserves its own spotlight.

Google sign-in is now live across the entire Juno ecosystem and by that, I mean a native authentication. No third-party services, no Internet Identity, and no Web2 infrastructure (aside from Google of course ).

Developers on Juno can now offer their users the familiar sign-in experience they already know directly within their Satellite (“within their canisters”).

It’s also available in the Juno Console, making it probably easier than ever for new devs to join the party.

I’m genuinely excited about this one. Give it a try, and let me know what you think! :rocket:

Following up here with real numbers since I introduced Google sign-in on Juno’s Console on Oct 25:

:busts_in_silhouette: 125 new sign-up/devs (it’s +5% overall in ~1 month)
:key: 73 Internet Identity
:globe_with_meridians: 52 Google (~42%)

I expected it to be high but, but my takeaway is: adding a familiar login didn’t just provide another auth option, it actually helped drive growth :high_voltage:.
