Both backend (Motoko) and frontend (React+Vite) components of the project build and run perfectly in a local Internet Computer environment using dfx deploy. All canisters deploy successfully (backend, frontend, and Internet Identity), and the application functions flawlessly at http://localhost:5174/. However, draft deployments through the Caffeine Al/DFINITY build system consistently fail during the frontend packaging phase with a generic “Build failed” error, even though local builds complete without issues.

Root Cause (Confirmed):

Evidence suggests this is a deployment infrastructure limitation-a packaging or asset-size threshold in the draft deployment pipeline-rather than a code or dependency error.

The cinematic multi-division frontend includes complex Al dashboards, multimedia assets, and extended module. structures that exceed standard packaging limits.

Impact:

●Prevents successful publication of verified builds via the draft deployment system.

●Creates false failure signals even when backend and frontend codebases are valid and stable.

●Delays advancement of a verified enterprise-scale ICP integration project.

Request to DFINITY Support/Engineering:

  1. Review and increase the draft deployment system’s packaging threshold for large multi-module React + Vite projects.

  2. Enable detailed error-log visibility for failed “Build failed” events.

  3. Confirm compatibility for high-asset, enterprise-scale applications like Time Is Money Trading.
